Bought for daughter’s hermit crabs. Good sand mixture. Will continue to purchase as needed.

Was worried due to some of the reviews but my 2 hermits love the sand. I mix with ecoearth in the tank however. Have not had any problems with sand in their shells. They are happy little hermit crabs and I’m one happy pet owner.

Im using this for my bearded dragons dig box, not as a tank substrate. Both sands in this box are from the same bag. Please wash your sands. They are LOADED with unwanted guests

My crabs have lived with this sand for 3 years, gone through many successful molts. I recently upgraded our tank and decided that this sand was an important investment for our pets once again.

If you have a more than two hermit crabs and have a big cage (or just some spoiled crabs and a big cage ><), Id recommend getting two bags. Or just two for when the tank needs cleaned. Great texture, it sticks together very nicely.

I bought this for our hermit crab tank. You definitely want to add some extra coconut for hermit crabs. There is some coconut mixed in the bag, but not enough to make the right consistency for hermit crabs. But with their powers combined, this sand and the coconut make a great substrate for our hermies.

Great product, wish there were bigger sizes. Have ordered these several times. My crabs love it and I like how moist the sand keeps the inside of the cage. We usually mix a pack of these with mulch and it makes a good combo inside the cage.

This is the best sand I have ever bought for my hermit crab. Its not dry sand, its has moisture. My hermit crab has thrived using this sand. Hes 6 years old now

this sand seemed awesome at first because my crabs would bury themselves but after about a week I started to notice the sand was getting in their shells and when i went to switch it out for something else I picked up our one who was always the most active and he was dead. We love all of our pets and do our best to take care of them and by this being falsely advertised we lost one of them. Im not one to usually write a review but I wanted to tell my story so maybe it could save someone elses pet.

This was my first time incorporating sand into the hermit crabs tank what a difference it made the crabs absolutely love it!! one in particular.. definitely recommend.
