Garmin 010-01772-00 Foretrex 601, 2 inches

This thing will not maintain satellite reception at all. I’ve tried everything. Today was a perfect sunny day and even standing still it’ll say lost satellite reception then take 2-3 minutes to show a grid for about 10 seconds then right back to lost reception. I never had an issue with the 401 decided today to return it but go figure the return window closed yesterday.

So far, so good. The crazy heavy rain over the last 2 days has hampered my attempts to go out in the wilderness and put it through the initial paces.

Ho comprato questo navigatore perche ha una buona durata della batteria. Ovviamente non essendo cartografico può non piacere a tutti. Sono partito per unescursione di diversi giorni caricando tutte le mappe delle varie tappe + varianti e, mentre ero in treno e stavo cambiando delle impostazioni, si è impallato/bloccato. Normalmente, con qualsiasi dispositivo io abbia mai avuto a che fare, basta tenere premuto il tasto di spegnimento per spegnere in modo delicato il dispositivo: NON FATELO!

I had previously owned a Foretrex 401 for 5 years which was a fantastic but of kit. I needed a replacement so bought a 601 with high hopes.

Easy to use and good battery life. Bad accuracy indoors for me. Good product overall and Id buy it again. I like using it when hiking

This is possibly a useful hiking tool. But I never saw that. After multiple attempts to have it display some simple hiking parameters, I am still frustrated by it.

Reliable and very accurate, needs some careful selection of parameters for best performance
