Another excellent unit from Garmin. Accurate, compact and simplistic use (loads of options and functions). This is a military grade unit and will withstand a lot of abuse. It is highly recommended to purchase and use a screen protector to enhance the protection capabilities. Adding a NATO strap is an option but both straps provided work well.

bestens für die Orientierung und Navigation im Gelände. Batterien (oder Akkus) halten ewig, das Display ist jederzeit gut ablesbar und die Bedienung - nach etwas Eingewöhnung - auch mit Handschuhen recht gut. GPX für die Tour am PC mit Mapsource oder Basecamp erstellen, mit USB Kabel übertragen und fertig. Wer keine Karten oder Farben am GPS Gerät braucht wir damit sehr zufrieden sein.

BLUF: Do not purchase the Garmin Foretrex 601 due to reliability concerns. This is my third iteration of this device and I cannot recommend this product.

Das erste Exemplar hat keine Satelliten gefunden. Garmin hat es ausgetauscht. Jetzt geht es. Satelliten werden schnell und auch in der Stadt gut gefunden.
