The only issues I am having is hooking up to Garmin radar. The radar device fails to sync up during rides when I pause the garmin 1030+. I have not figured to fix this.

I have tons of Garmin stuff from when they were the only game in town. My current devices are Fenix 6x and the Garmin 1030 plus HR monitor. The quality of their products has gone downhill and keeps going downhill the competition is lapping them and for good reason, Garmin is a lot like other (previously) successful brands to get market share and get customers to think you are the only game in town sell an inferior product that is Garmin in a nutshell. Im moving on once these devices kick it if your not tied to it I would also

Device is slow, screen is dim, resolution is low, touch screen isnt up to par. Plastic latch on the back broke in a mtn bike crash, bought an after market aluminum attachment. Screen stopped allowing Touch input, buttons dont provide enough functionality to make the device useful. DO NOT BUY.. I mean it works as long as you like old things and want to be gentle with it. Way too much money for something like this.

Waiting to hear from the seller. Requested a new one as the one shipped lacked good colour saturation on the display. I bought the 1030 Plus because the 830 was so good and it uses the same screen. See how it goes.

Replaced my 520 after it failed to take a charge. This new unit is SO much better! I love the loudness of the warning beep - I use a Varia radar and seldom ever heard it with the 520. The touch screen works flawlessly, Im a happy camper with this purchase
