Alexa doesnt recognize this device half the time, i.e, the slot I named 5 gallon tank and says its not responding, but when I go through the app Im able to control the outlets just fine. This was easy to install and works with the Smart Life app... just not Alexa. So much for voice controlling water changes on my nano tank, and glad I have a waterproof case on my iphone to control via the app!

Only used for 2 weeks (of course missed the return window by a day) and it started short circuiting, electric zapping sounds and flickering the 3 lights that were plugged in. All the lights work perfectly normal with any other surge protector and outlet. I will not be using this product from geeni but I do recommend their lightbulbs and normal outlets as I haven’t had an issue with those.

I like the wi fi power strips, and this is the first one that Ive seen with 6 outlets. Plan is to use this with an aquarium build. I have a couple 4 outlet strips that also have USB plugs. Currently trialing this on my pico saltwater tank. And notice the outlets needed to be wider apart for those bulky converter plugs. And that a couple of USB plugs would be nice. Although when I put this on the tank Im building wont need USB. Although I love that I can make on/off schedules for refugium light and protein skimmer, and that I can just tell Alexa to turn off my pico pump and auto top off when doing water change or any work on the tank. Finally would appreciate a way to hang this power strip/attach it to the wall.

Works great sometimes and not so great other times. I use Alexa with this plug and sometimes it turns the stuff on when I tell it to, other times I have to repeat myself several times to get results. But worth the money, do have 4 different items connected to it.

This is my 1st smart plug and its been a great but at this price. Set up took about two minutes and I can now romotely control six devices. Cost was less then 2 plugs from other brand. App is easy too use and is pretty customizable Update: 3/23/23, Less than a year after purchasing this item the wifi has stopped working. The geeni app & google home now just say this powerstrip is offline and all attempts to reconnect it manually or through the easy startup process have failed. It started working very briefly twice and then crashed again. So..no this is just a very expensive basic six plug powerstrip and Ill have to buy another one from a different brand to regain the functionality I had before. Disappointing.

These things are great. I have a bunch of single outlet models that are $10 at Wally World. This is a great concept. I use mine for a neon light in my bedroom as well as the air conditioner. I can turn the air on an hour before I get home from anywhere. In the winter I have a heating pad between my blankets that I use to keep my feet warm. I can turn it on from the living room before I go to bed. I also have some of the smart lights from geeni too. Only ever had an issue once or twice with the WiFi, over a 6 month period. Could have been my WiFi. Hey none of these things are perfect all the time. I don’t have Alexis so I can’t say about that.

The device connected to the network after several attempts. I set up rules to leave one port on all of the time, 3 ports are on an on/off schedule every 12 hours, so each of those ports has two rules, one for the time to turn on and one for the time to turn off. The last two ports are off all of the time. Right away, one port on the 12 hour schedule misbehaved. I reset everything and set up the rules again. All was mostly good until we tried to use the last two ports. I added the same rules, but the ports would not shut off. I’ve tried resetting and opened a problem with he manufacturer. I have had no response from them. Had to abandon use of the last two ports. Our others continued to work properly and after two months, including the time change and network updates, of working properly, they have suddenly begun ignoring their rules. Would not recommend.

I have multiple reptiles and other animals that require an extensive lighting schedule. This plug strip has given me so much freedom and has given my animals consistency.

Easy to set up and no problems with Alexa communications with the device. I will be buying another soon. edited a couple months later. The device died from a power outage. It shows power is on but none of the outlets will work and it will no longer connect to the internet. I still love this product and ordered another one. One major hiccup, I contacted Geeni support via their chat connection on their website. The next day I get a call from the same help desk area but this time around they try to scam me with they owe me $499.00 .... and need me to install ultraviewer on my computer. BIG TIME SCAM .... DO NOT USE THEIR HELP DESK.
