I once was lost but now I am found... because my wife turned on the new garage opener lights. Thats all. Hopefully wont have to buy too many more times. If I need to, I will.

We use this in our garage and on the garage door opener. It does not interfere with door’s functionality. Our previous light bulb prevented the garage door from opening (using the preset switch in the car) when the light was on. No more interference with this bulb and it’s brighter than I expected.

I purchased LED Bulbs of another brand from my local big box store that said it was made for use with garage door opener but it caused lots of signal interference and never worked properly. I decided on the Genie GLEDB2-R2 bulbs and so far they have worked fantastic with no signal interference problems since installation.

Got this because I was having issues with my garage door opener after replacing old light bulb. Turns out CFL and LED lights interfere with garage door opener transmitters. This bulb helped but can only use one. As soon as I screw in the second one, my garage door opener transmitters are pretty useless. Even with only one, I can no longer use my garage door opener transmitters from farther away and theyre not 100% reliable--press down and hope it works. So this product really doesnt solve the problem effectively. The only real solution is probably getting a new garage door opener with the LED light built in by the manufacturer like the newer models. But thats an expensive solution.

We installed a new Genie garage door, and sometimes the remotes from the cars would work, as would the opener on the garage door, then other times they would not not work at all. We finally found out light bulbs could have something to do with that kind of thing. These Genie bulbs arrived and we installed them - and everything has worked 100% of the time since then!!

These bulbs provide a very bright light in my garage when my garage door opener is activated through the motion sensor or with the remote. No issues at all since installing them.

4 of these are bright enough for a 2 car garage, but not enough to work on a car. Biggest plus is that they dont cause RF interference with the receiver. My remotes work well again.
