So far so good. Like the lite will have to see how long they last and if they affect anything. As of now all is well.

More expensive than the regular garage opener bulb but it is worthy, the lights are so bright that you hardly see the Genie logo. There is a video from Genie that test drop the bulb from a story high and still light up. That mean the vibration of the motor won’t affect the bulb . The first picture is with regular bulbs. Big difference, day and night.

So I never knew there were specific light bulbs for garage door openers. Thank goodness for Google! I was going to call a repairman! Inserted this new bulb and walla! Light!! Just put it in so don’t know about life expectancy but appears bright enough

What happened to 5-10 year LED light bulbs? 3yr guarantee? WTH?

Nice and bright and dont have any effect on the range of my remote. Perfect!

Intially I had a regular tungsten light bulb and I could open my garage from like 50 feet away. Because tungsten light bulbs are hot when turned on, it burned a hole on the plastic cover of my garage door opener. I switched to a regular LED bulb and I was no longer able to open my garage within 10 feet away. I decided to give this one a try. It works a lot better although I still cant open my garage 50 feet away. I would say it works fine but slight radio interference still exists.

We use this in our garage and on the garage door opener. It does not interfere with door’s functionality. Our previous light bulb prevented the garage door from opening (using the preset switch in the car) when the light was on. No more interference with this bulb and it’s brighter than I expected.

We installed a new Genie garage door opener and purchased the Genie LED bulbs for it. As soon as the bulbs were installed, the garage door opener remote stopped working. We then replaced the LED bulbs with incandescent bulbs and the remote worked again. Since the box of the Genie LED bulbs was opened, we couldnt get a refund for the useless LED bulbs.
