I installed two of these lights and one has already gone bad. According to the description: Long Lasting And Low Cost: Purchasing one low-cost Genie bulb gets you an estimated 25, 000 hours of quality garage lighting. That comes out to 625 forty-hour weeks of operation. Yes, it was low interference and got along with my opener. However, the operational life was not as advertised and only lasted two years. Sadly, I ordered a replacement.

Great replacement. Should last forever.

Finally found bulbs that last with all the iOS and downs of the garage door. Others last weeks then burn out

So I never knew there were specific light bulbs for garage door openers. Thank goodness for Google! I was going to call a repairman! Inserted this new bulb and walla! Light!! Just put it in so don’t know about life expectancy but appears bright enough

My opener was going nuts, opening the door for no good reason, stopping in the middle of a run, closing when you wanted it open, etc. When I researched this, I found out that modern LED bulbs emit waves that mess up GDO function. Turns out, my wife had just replaced the bulbs with regular LED. These bulbs and resetting the codes were the cure. Check your owners manual or YouTube on how to do the latter.

A bit pricey for a light bulb; however, its supposed to reduce the electrical interference with remote. Hard to say, but, looks like it works as advertised.
