Genuine GORILLA-LIFT 2-Sided Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist

> 3 dayWorth every penny. After hours of yard work trailer gate gets heavy. With this lift I can easily flip up the gate with my foot. Should have added a long time ago. You will need a good Drill and Drill Bits. .500” holes take some work. 10 total holes.

Greater than one weekAt first I thought I had bought a nightmare. Instructions were not very clear as they were gobbled up together and that made them very hard to understand. After I went thru the instructions and wrote them in a manner that made everything understandable. Paragraphs for the instructions would have made it a lot easier. when you jumble up instruction instead of separating each step, it creates a nightmare. I love the way it lets my tailgate down and picks it up without no effort on my part. Im very happy with my purchase.

> 3 dayAny trailer 12 feet or more, I highly recommend these. The trailer ramps, especially on larger trailers, are quite heavy to lift up and even let down. With this product, it makes putting the ramp down easily with one hand....same for lifting the ramp up as well. They are sturdy and well-made, fairly easy to install too.

> 3 dayThis item its extremely strong. The only bad thing about this is the pulling wires are so tiny. Not sure it they will last that much.

> 3 dayIt’s overall a great device. It’s well constructed. It seem to go together pretty well but the instructions were not altogether clear. You will have to do drilling on your trailer to put these in. Do not install them far back so if you have a rail clip on the top you will have to remove it with an angle grinder before actually installing these items. If you do install them and would like to have additional links to pull from you can use the wheels that attach to the trailer frame to guide the cable down and not cause abrasion.

> 3 dayI unfortunately installed it more than the specified 18. My fault. Had it welded at 18 and wouldnt keep the trailer if I had to keep manually lifting the tailgate. Im a 78 year old woman and this add on is a miracle for me.

> 3 daySaw this on another trailer and thought it would be a great idea for my trailer. I had some work done on the lift gate on my dual axle trailer that I tote a Kubota buggy on for work. My lift gate was getting bowed from the buggy so I had it reinforced which made it barely lift-able with one person. My back was being strained and I am in pretty good shape. I read the reviews on google and Amazon before purchasing and read some mixed reviews about how it worked fairly well but that it was difficult to install. Watched a You-Tube video about installation (which for me is easier than reading instructions), purchased and set out to install it. First of all, installation is time consuming...a few hours if you know how to use the necessary tools and are fairly handy with them. My trailer has a little thicker metal so used smaller to bigger titanium bits to get it done easier. The installation of the bolts after drilling is a little tricky but do-able. Did one side for now, which has made a huge difference and it works well so will probably do the other soon.

> 3 dayWhat I like about the tail gate assist is it does make lift easier but on my trailer I had to weld and it took me 3 days after work to modify and weld. You need to make sure after you assemble that the cable doesnt rub when you let it all the way down.
