I knew from the installation video I watched prior to purchasing it that the install was not a 5 minute process, but I didnt anticipate the amount of adjustments I would have to make to allow it to release and lift my tailgate properly...oh well, its on and finally working as it should...

It is very sturdy and all parts were included. The instructions should include diagrams. We had to watch a video online, which made it easier. You need a high quality drill and bit. This makes a tremendous difference when opening and closing our heavy gate.

I am getting older now and the ramp on my trailer is really getting heavy for me to lift off the ground and with these on I can lift it with one finger --- literally !! These were difficult to install on my trailer because my side rails are made out of pipe, but , if your trailer is made from angle iron it wont take you 45 minutes to install these. Great product

My friend had one and I was sold from the minute I tried it. I can hook the tailgate with my foot and it comes right up easily. Install can be a bit of a pain depending on your trailer manufacturer, but was totally worth it. My friend broke a roller after years of use and the repair part was easy to get. User instruction could be a bit clearer on where to mount bolt on ramp. Too low and not enough lift and too high and it comes up too fast. I cant overstate the importance of testing before drilling. Pulling the spring taut for attaching the bolts or hooks can be tricky. I used a loop of strong line on the end of the spring and then pulled it out when I was done to save my fingers.

Worth every penny. After hours of yard work trailer gate gets heavy. With this lift I can easily flip up the gate with my foot. Should have added a long time ago. You will need a good Drill and Drill Bits. .500” holes take some work. 10 total holes.

I recently bought a new trailer and boy is it heavy duty, the wife and I struggled just to raise the ramp and decided we needed some help. I watched many U Tube vids and decided on the Gorilla-Lift system, so glad I did. I ran into two small challenges during my install. 1. I had a 2x2 square tubing upright support to the top rail where the farthest back hole needed to be drilled. I was able to remove the plastic end cap, just drilled through the top tubing, cut the carriage bolt to about 1 and was able to fasten down that way. 2. The front hole was aligned with the fender, but I just drilled through the top tubing, through the fender and the supplied bolt was just barley long enough to reach all the way through to snug up the nut. Shipping was fast, assembly was easy and the results were amazing....simple one hand operation now. I did use all four springs on my trailer and it was just the right amount of tension. Any heavier of a ramp and I believe it would struggle. I highly recommend this product.
