> 3 daySalted Caramel GU helped me train for and crush my second marathon! Delicious and sticky with a little salt and caffeine to keep you going. I have a hard time with other flavored gels because the texture is rather gross. Gooey orange? Salty berry? No thanks. The benefit of salted caramel is you expect caramel to be gooey, so its not revolting to eat something flavored like caramel, that has the texture of caramel.

> 3 dayI am an avid bicycle rider and Vanilla Bean flavored GU is the best. During a 40+ mile training ride I will consume up to two of them. Great taste, easy on the stomach and added energy.

> 3 dayA few months ago I originally purchased the strawberry banana flavor. I personally though the taste was awful and the texture was so thick it was disgusting. I couldnt even swallow it straight out of the package, I had to chew on it and swish it around my mouth with water and then force it down my throat. I let one of my friends try it and we had to stop the workout because the taste made him sick. However, the Vanilla flavor does NOT have any of those problems. The flavor is great and you can really taste the vanilla flavor. One of my friends thought it was a little on the sweet side but I love it. It is also a lot thinner, I can easily stick it in my mouth and gulp it down without wasting any time. Gu is good stuff, I can feel the difference on longer rides and it definitely helps me maintain my level of performance.

> 3 dayI buy this product regularly because it provides the energy for those days that Im working out for more than one hour. Provides the energy without the added sugars of others products.

> 3 dayI have tried a large variety of GU gels (and similar gels made by other brands) over the course of several years of running. Pro: Like all GU gels, these have a nice, liquidy texture that helps swallowing mid-run easier than some of the stiffer gels (Clif!). Con: The Salted Caramel description suggests a nice balance between sweet and salty, but I found the actual flavor to be overwhelmingly sweet and artificial (relative to other GU gels--they all taste artificial to some degree, of course!), and had an off-puttingly cloying tinge to the flavor.

> 3 dayMy two athletes use these all the time. Good for a pre-workout/competition boost. They are very tasty! Thick, caramel flavor- very much like candy- for me they are a little too rich tasting, so if thats a concern, have some water nearby to wash it down. They are super convenient to throw in a gear bag, and give a little boost on the go.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love the taste of these. Have been through two boxes of these already this summer and need another box. I think I will go and order them right now! They are essential for hot summer rides, easy to eat and digest and the salt is necessary (for me, anyway). Sometimes when youre riding a long time/distance and youre hot, the thought of eating anything, never mind a Gu which can be disgusting, is not worth thinking about. But these taste so good I have never felt like that ... definitely recommend if you like the taste of salted caramel anything.

> 3 dayLove these things but I could see myself starting to make my own after awhile. Work great but it would be nice to find a cheaper option. Taste great!
