GU Energy Original Sports Nutrition Energy Gel, 24-Count, Salted Caramel

I mean, its Gu. You like it or you dont, right? When its cold, its thicker. When its warm, thinner. The vanilla is one of the better, more versatile flavors. Great for extra carbs during excercise.

These are hands down the best trail chowder I have ever consumed! I have been an avid mountain biker since 1990 and have eaten uncountable quantities of nasty sawdust bars, puke flavored bars (see Pro Bar), lumpy gag inducing goo packs, fruity heartburn slime and other varying grotesquiries. These are actually so yummy I crave them when I am not bonking on my bike... Thank you Gu, you have finally made something so tremendously tasty that I actually look forward to trail food time.

These are my go-to when Im doing any activities where I have a need for fueling. Easy to consume, tastes great and easy to carry.

I use GU for fuel during my long distance runs, anywhere from 8 to 20 miles. Its compact, so its easy to carry with me. I prefer the salted caramel because its higher in sodium for electrolyte replacement and has 20mg caffeine for an energy boost. The flavor is good, as well as the chocolate flavored version. The cost is comparable to similar products, and Ive tried a few. GU is my favorite overall.

Ive used many different tastes of GU Original Energy Gels. My favorites are salted caramel and espersso love. They give me the energy I need and my digestive system tolerates them well. The only reason for the missing star is the sweetness, but I think there is no energy gel that is not too sweet for me.

Its GU so already expected effective product. The only thing to concern is the shelf life. Best before is on Oct 2023 so it is good.

This is a good goo with nice flavor and a little caffeine. Can give you a small boost of energy during the day. But all these energy goos are a overpriced.

I like the flavor of this product. It works well on longer bicycle rides. Really gives a shot of energy when you need it.

Energy gels are a fact of life once words like marathon and all of its variants start to enter your vocabulary. To perform your best, you need energy, and one of the best ways of getting energy quickly is consuming energy gels. GU gels are an essential item in my distance running arsenal, and you should seriously consider getting some, too. Unlike SOME energy gels Ive tried, the taste (vanilla bean) actually isnt bad. Do yourself a favor, however, and wash the gel down with plenty of water to avoid that yummy gel aftertaste. The gel sits lightly in your stomach and is quickly absorbed by your body, delivering energy just when you begin to flag. I use these religiously when training for my longer-distance races and when on extended bicycle rides. They fit easily into my running belt, under-saddle bag, and the pocket in the back of my running shirt. Buy them by the case for maximum value! GU wont let you down!

I have been using them on a few recent long runs and the salty taste is perfect. After a couple of hours on my feet, my stomach cannot handle some of these overly sweet gels, this is where these come in very handy. Finally a gel that actually tastes decent.
