> 3 dayIt heats up quickly and does far better than my cheaper unit. Save time and money and spent the money on this one. It is solid, workable and easy to use.

> 3 dayHakko pretty much sets the standard in soldering equipment. I have owned this for over a year and it works very well. The soldering iron heats quickly and appears to stay on temperature. The iron fits securely into the holder. Tips last a long time and are easy to change. Fit and finish are excellent. I have no negative comments with respect to this unit. I wish everything worked this well.

> 3 daygood temp rebound, feels good in hand while working. *read the directions or you will change the calibration rather than the temp on the unit.* Has some preset temps and is full adjustable outside of those temps, and the presets can also be changed. *read the directions or you will change the calibration rather than the temp on the unit*

> 3 dayThis is hands down the very best Soldering Iron set up I have ever owned and I have owned quite a few. I highly recommend it. It comes with a number of extra iron tips all the way from tiny to very large. They send duplicate replacement tips in the box when they ship it. It gets hot immediately , it cools to another temperature quickly. It heats up when you turn it on right away, there is nearly no wait time. The temp control works great. It is super easy to use, super easy to change temps. It fits nicely in the hand. It is made of very sturdy materials. Changing tips is super easy and simple. Let me say this, sometimes I need an Iron to get really really hot (working on tube equipment) then I need it cool and even temperature..It does this without any problem whatsoever. Take it from me spend the extra few $ and win with this station. Yes, I own it. No I am not affiliated in any way.

Greater than one weekThis is the best Iron I have yet owned and it perfect for the hobbyist but could easily see this used daily with hard use. The tips and all parts included in the kit are legitimate Hakko and very well made. Theres really very little missing to get you going on even complex projects (flux, wick, tinning, etc. are not really things i would expect in a kit). The really nice things I noticed quickly and still enjoy: fast warmup time, easy to configure and presets, so many great tips, the iron cord is so well made and very flexible yet durable. Next up is the Hakko desoldering gun.

22-04-2025Before I bought this, I used multiple cheap soldiering irons without a station or temp regulator. I always had issues with getting big lumps of solder to liquefy, and overheating small components while trying to heat the soldier. And so far I havent gotten any problems with this soldering station. Multiple tips, and adjustable temperature allows me to work with both small and big soldier joints. It also heats up quite fast, which is nice. Although $120 its bit pricey, it seems like its a quality tool and I hope it will last me decades.
