> 3 dayFound it fairly simple to put the fan together. The instructions were pretty good. Since this wasnt my first fan to assemble, I kind of knew how to do what. A bit odd that one part tightens clockwise, the other counterclockwise, but since they at least tell you that, and if you follow what they say, youll be fine. However, what they failed to mention which might drive some people around the bend is that theres a part that MUST BE REMOVED FIRST before putting on the rear grille (aka fan blade protector). Photo attached. It comes placed IN the holes of the rear grille and you have to remove it before you can fit the grille onto the pins. It looks like it should attach to the shaft itself in some way but trust me, it doesnt. I found that by slightly bending in each point of the triangle, you can unhook it from the grille and remove it. Another thing that might have helped would have been to explain which way the blades go. That is, which side faces front and which faces the rear. Its pretty obvious, but did give me pause. And for people with no mechanical ability, lets just say it might be challenging. One other thing I might mention: When I assembled it, the front of the fan was not facing the same direction as the controls. It was about 40 degrees swiveled to the right. With my other fans I can just pull up the little knob on top and swivel the blades left or right at will. But I wasnt sure I should do that in this case (since there was no such knob) and so I called customer service. The robot answers with Helen of Troy then mentions another company with no mention of Honeywell, and so I wasnt sure if I had been given the right number, but it IS the right number. So dont be as confused as I was. And the customer service person couldnt have been nicer! She told me NOT to try to swivel the fan by hand, but to turn it on, put it on oscillation and stop it at the point where its lined up with the control panel. Have only had the thing about a minute so cant speak too much on that front. But it was really nice and quiet! Will report back if I have any problems. ================ Reporting back in a/o 9/21/21. The variable wind feature doesnt seem to work correctly on mine. It slows to a COMPLETE stop and then starts back up again. I dont think this is the way its support to act. And its a rather absurd feature to my mind. So Ive lowed my star rating. Its also not as powerful as my old 14 metal non telescoping fan.

> 3 dayI had a high quality fan for several years that finally died on me, so I went replace it with one of equal or better quality. This of course happened during a heatwave and when I went to several stories they were completely sold out of fans. Although it took a few days, I purchased a fan on Amazon for a few dollars less than my old one. I found it easy to assembly and was surprised that it was noticeably quieter than my old fan. I dont have to turn-up the TV with the fan running even on high. As stated on the box, the fan moves 15% more air with having both the standard fan and the additional smaller fan blade. A few weeks later my son and his family moved to Phoenix. Shortly after, during a phone conversation, he happened to ask if I could recommend an upright fan. I did and he purchased three of them and just the other day he told me he was going to purchase a fourth one. -- With ease the fans remote control responds to the fan.

> 3 dayVery few products are beyond my expectations but this fan is. I had it assembled in less than an hour--not bad for this 83 yr. old granny. Its very quiet. The best thing about this fan is it feels like a breeze not a wind. I was also surprised it reached the far side of the room, about 18 away. Id give it 10 stars if it were possible.

> 3 daySo, I bought this fan with no intention to use the remote, so I have no idea how the remote works, I havent even put batteries in it. This review is for the fan and not the remote. First things first this fan is NOT all metal, the exterior seems to be very sturdy with a lot of metal used on the outside, but the blades are plastic. Another thing is that the second set of blades are very, very small, might as well only have one set of blades, since I doubt the second pair even does much of anything. Other than that I enjoy this fan, its as described, seems sturdy, noise level is good, more quite than what Im used to, so if you like loud fans like I do this one isnt very loud. Though thats probably more of a pro than a con for most people. Moves a decent amount of air and Ill absolutely be using it all throughout the hot California summers.

> 3 dayHard to set up. Unnecessary pieces to it that threw me off like I was trying to figure out where it went but it ended up being unnecessary I guess there just to hold stuff together than when assembling your product you take the piece off than throw it away. It was only for transport of the item. Im more of a visual person so I followed the photo more. Other than that great fan. Has a timer and a wind speed itll speed up than slow down setting choice. Highly recommend this fan. Only down side is the blue light does not go off at night. It is very bright and hard to sleep with the bright light shining up part of your room. The only thing I suggest is tie a shirt around it or sumthin. If you know you dont need to change any setting on it with the remote. What I do is actually move the neck of the fan and just have the fan blowing towards me while the neck with panel is away from me to block the light as much as I can, if that makes sense.

> 3 dayI bought the Amazon Basics fan first, this Honeywell is almost the same! The problem with the Amazon fan was it came w/o the remote, worked great, but I paid extra for the remote, so we sent it back, problem was they were out of stock for a re-order! Thats why we chose the Honeywell, same Double Blade fan set up, about the same price, and it came with a remote! The only differences between the 2 are,,,,,The Honeywell has clips that close the area where the blades are, and it better then the Amazon strap that goes around, which is very difficult to put on, and would be difficult to remove, and put back on to clean blades! The other difference between the 2 is the Honeywell is about 6 inches shorter then the Amazon Basics, we liked the taller one better, even though that could have been a foot taller! Both are very quiet running, not an irritating noise, both put out a lot of air because of the double blade set up! And Yes wed buy the Honeywell again first, because of the easy clips that open up the cage to clean! The only reason we grade this at 4 stars and not 5,,,,it needs to be 12-18 inches taller, are you listening Honeywell!-)) Update,,After approx 6 months, this Honeywell runs great, when I turn it on low, my wife puts on her sweater!-)) Gonna buy another later this year when they go on sale! next update bought a second one and both run great!

> 3 dayIve been using this Honeywell double blade 16 pedestal fan for year daily. It replaced a Honeywell single blade pedestal fan than I have had for 10 years so far, and it was still working the same as the day I bought it. I was looking to get something that had more functions on the remote control, moved a bit more air, and was a tad quieter. What I wound up with was a big upgrade in going to this new double blade fan. It has a weighted base, so now the fan doesnt fall over when a gust of wind comes through the window. The base is also smaller in diameter, making it easier to place. The remote controls the swivel movement of the fan in additional to the speed, modes, timer, and power. The double blade fan moves noticeably more air than the single blade fan and is also quieter. On low this fan moves quite a bit of air and is very low noise. The remote also has really good range and wide angle, so you dont even have to point the remote directly at the fan. I have the fan in white, and they supply a bright red fan blade cap that is behind the Honewell badge on the fan guard. It looks so out of place and makes you wonder why that isnt white too. I am extremely happy with this fan, and it is even better than I was expecting.

> 3 dayHave this fan for about a month now with running it all day long. Had a martini before assembling it so it is not the most complicated mechanism youll ever encounter, no additional tools or screws needed. You do need the batteries for the remote control which works really well and actually has the on/off button so you dont have to go through all the speeds to turn it off like you would if you were to get up and do it on the fans buttons. When deciding on a fan, I was definitely on the budget but was looking for a quality fan even if it meant paying a bit more. Looked a lot at the tower fans as well but then decided to go with this kind because it was important for me to be able to clean it of accumulated dust frequently. Just recently did my first clean and it was wicked easy, the top parts disassemble as easy as they assemble, wiped the blades and rinsed the cage parts with a douche in the shower, wiped dry and voila all done, took like 15 minutes and the fan is looking nice and clean and like new. Rotation also works great and overall the fan is super quiet, I am in zoom meetings all day and it never interferes. At night, the blue light takes a bit of getting used to but actually is kind of calming. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayIt wasnt the easiest to put together, but it wasnt terrible either. It works very well. I love the remote features. Makes it super easy to make changes without getting out of bed. Lol.
