Have this fan for about a month now with running it all day long. Had a martini before assembling it so it is not the most complicated mechanism youll ever encounter, no additional tools or screws needed. You do need the batteries for the remote control which works really well and actually has the on/off button so you dont have to go through all the speeds to turn it off like you would if you were to get up and do it on the fans buttons. When deciding on a fan, I was definitely on the budget but was looking for a quality fan even if it meant paying a bit more. Looked a lot at the tower fans as well but then decided to go with this kind because it was important for me to be able to clean it of accumulated dust frequently. Just recently did my first clean and it was wicked easy, the top parts disassemble as easy as they assemble, wiped the blades and rinsed the cage parts with a douche in the shower, wiped dry and voila all done, took like 15 minutes and the fan is looking nice and clean and like new. Rotation also works great and overall the fan is super quiet, I am in zoom meetings all day and it never interferes. At night, the blue light takes a bit of getting used to but actually is kind of calming. Highly recommend.

Had this fan for a couple of months and it is still running great. The remote control works flawlessly and very convenient. Didnt think I needed to remote but now I cant live without it!

I wanted to replace the floor fan we have that is just too loud even on a low setting. We have a Rowenta Turbo Silence in our bedroom but their floor fans are over $150. This Honeywell is only $50 and claimed to be quiet. And has a remote... Sounded like a deal. If it were not for the cheap price, it would be a 3 star product. PROS: 1. Cost. 2. Easy installation. It appears easy to take apart as well for periodic dust removal. CONS: 1. The base is very cheap. It started to crumble in my hand as I grabbed it to start the installation. See the pic. Its got two chunks missing and it want even set up. 2. It is NOT all that quiet. Compared to my old stand fan, its a bit better. (So I am keeping it). But its quiet mode should be described as annoying... High/Low or On/Off... It would not be appropriate for sleeping. The description is misleading. If you think youre getting a low-noise fan, keep looking.

I’ve really never thought much about fans. They work or they don’t. I bought this one for working out in the basement as the air can be a little stagnant down there. Well, now I won’t work out without this thing. I keep it about 8 feet from where I work out, and on the mid setting it provides just the perfect flow of air that keeps me cool and helps me breathe. And it’s not just a constant flow of air — it’s more like a buffering breeze that is much more pleasant and feels more natural. Not sure if it’s the dual blades or what, but it’s the best fan I’ve ever had. And the “wind zone” is pretty wide so even when I’m standing it covers my whole body. The fan itself is whisper quiet, and although I didn’t think I’d use it, the remote is pretty handy and works great. When I’m not working out I leave it on low oscillation to keep some circulation down there, and there’s less of a stagnant, musty basement smell now. The only non-positive thing I can think of is that it’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but it’s not ugly either. It’s fine. It’s a fan. Anyway, never thought I’d love a fan, but I love this thing. Highly recommended.

I was, looking for a pedestal fan to replace my DuraCraft fan that I had for about 15 years. Honeywell bought out DuraCraft. I bought this Honeywell fan based on the recommendations I read on Amazon. I have not been disappointed with this fan. This fan puts out a lot of air even at the slowest speed. Putting the fan together was very easy. Although some folks have noted problems with the remote, so far mine has worked with no problems. My only wish is that this fan was about 1 foot taller. I was surprised at how sturdy the base was. The blue LED lights are quite bright in a dark bedroom at night, but I will probably get used to that. The fan is very quiet on low speed. So far, I am very pleased with this fan and hope to get many years out of it. I attached a picture as this is how my box looked when it was delivered. I was afraid that some component of the fan had been damaged, but everything was ok. +

Quiet, reliable and well-built. The base is surprisingly heavy, which is a nice touch (no chance of tipping over). I bought this to replace an older Honeywell of pretty similar make and feature set that Id been using pretty much every night since 06. That motor finally called it a day, so not a bad run. This model is noticeably quieter on the lowest setting, if that matters to you. It also has two blue led lights on the front display, although I havent noticed these illuminating the room that appreciably (about as much as a small clock radio would, Id say). Fully extended, it stands 47 inches. It has a remote, but can be operated at the base as well. Has tilt and oscillate, though I use neither. Has sleep timers of 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours. It has three speed settings, and three flow modes (variable, breeze, and constant). On low, which is what I tend to use, it moves a considerable amount of air for its size. The grill is a lightweight, coated (painted) metal, as is the pole (polished aluminum), fan shaft and motor. Everything else is plastic. The plug has a built in safety fuse. I would be surprised if this one didnt last at least as long as my previous Honeywell fan did. Hope this review was useful.

Ive been using this Honeywell double blade 16 pedestal fan for year daily. It replaced a Honeywell single blade pedestal fan than I have had for 10 years so far, and it was still working the same as the day I bought it. I was looking to get something that had more functions on the remote control, moved a bit more air, and was a tad quieter. What I wound up with was a big upgrade in going to this new double blade fan. It has a weighted base, so now the fan doesnt fall over when a gust of wind comes through the window. The base is also smaller in diameter, making it easier to place. The remote controls the swivel movement of the fan in additional to the speed, modes, timer, and power. The double blade fan moves noticeably more air than the single blade fan and is also quieter. On low this fan moves quite a bit of air and is very low noise. The remote also has really good range and wide angle, so you dont even have to point the remote directly at the fan. I have the fan in white, and they supply a bright red fan blade cap that is behind the Honewell badge on the fan guard. It looks so out of place and makes you wonder why that isnt white too. I am extremely happy with this fan, and it is even better than I was expecting.

I was hoping to get a new, more quiet, standing fan but I wanted a remote too as many now have them. I bought one of these fans. I like the black color over the also available white. It was very easy to assemble and had good picture directions. It is a dual blade fan set up with the large main fan, and a smaller secondary fan to help push air on the lower settings. The fan blades are all plastic. Although advertised as a more quiet option, it was in fact louder than the fan it was to replace. The remote works great and you can control all the important functions with it, oscillate, speed, timer and from across the room convenience. There are also on the unit control buttons too. Overall it works as it should and it does provide a good volume of wind. I only gave it 4-stars due to the sound level. It works great and if you arent as concerned about noise it is a good purchase.

The fan was very easy to put together and is easy to use. Make sure to line up the alignment pins on the blades when assembling it. It has good air flow. The noise level is a little high, but not too bad even at max speed. Its a fan... what do you expect? It has a nice weighted base that keeps the fan stable. The height isnt as adjustable as I expected (theres a difference of only about 8-10 from top to bottom heights), but that isnt a problem for me. The post screws down onto the base so that you dont have to worry about the base coming off when moving it and theres a screw on the top part that holds it in place to the post. However, that screw on the top part isnt great and probably wont last being tightened many times. But once set up, you should never need to tighten it or loosen it, so that shouldnt be a problem. The fan screen is metal and the clips holding the front to the back are metal, but seem to be flimsy, so be careful using them. If they end up breaking off at some point, zip ties work wonders for fan screens... just cut off the excess lengths after tying them on. I havent used the remote as I dont have the batteries to fit it and I dont have any real use for a remote anyhow. I either have the fan on or off and that can easily be changed by pressing the button on the fan without having to track down a remote. I wanted to clear up a few things I saw in other reviews prior to buying this. Hopefully this will help anyone who had those issues. * If you are missing the small fan blade and remote, check ALL the cardboard as they are both in the same small piece of cardboard that can easily be missed. * The nut that holds the blades on does not unscrew counter-clockwise like youd expect. Turn it to the right (clockwise) as the directions indicate and it will unscrew easily. This opposite threading prevents it from coming unscrewed as the blade spins. * If your fan is speeding up and slowing down, this is one of the settings. You can disable that easily. If you press the ... button, you cycle between three fan settings. One will stay on at full speed, one will cycle fast and slow. I havent tested the third, but its probably something between those two options. This setting changes the lighted up icons on the right side. For constant full speed, you should have it set to the bottom icon on the right side. * If you arent getting a lot of air flow, change the fan speed by pressing the power button. This changes the lighted up icons on the left side. The top icon is max speed. Note that it isnt going to be as good as a box fan or commercial fan, but its still good. I currently have mine sitting about 13 feet away from me and its hitting me very well. It could be better, but I could also move the fan closer if I really wanted to.

As someone who likes a cool breeze while she sleeps, this fan is great. Has a remote, oscillates, and has several speeds. Adds a nice white noise. Only issue I have is the lights to tell you what setting the fan is on are way too bright! I ended up taping pieces of paper over the lights.
