Honeywell Security 6160 Ademco Alpha Display Keypad

Good buy if you are replacing an existing keypad or adding one at your panel for ease of programming as I did. I do wish I bought the RF model because it allows you to add wireless devices to your system.

Easy to install. Good price. Excellent upgrade to compliment a Honeywell Vista 20p panel. Makes upgrading/programming so much easier being able to use an alphanumeric keypad. Really like the large, easy to read LCD display. More things in life should be this simple and efficient.

Works fine until that 1 out of 10-15 times that you try to disarm it at the panel after you walk in & it wont take the code & sets off all the sirens & calls the security center. If you are purchasing this panel I HIGHLY recommend you have multiple ways of disarming it before you open the door i.e. key fob, phone app etc.

Very good second keypad and easy to install looks good. Programming still a little time consuming

If you are replacing a keypad just make sure that you get the hardware address of old keypad before you remove it and program the new panel with the same address when you power the system back on.

I needed to program some new sensors and local Honeywell dealers wanted $90 for a new one. This was much less expensive and works as advertised. If you program your own alarm or want to program your own Honeywell Vista, you will need this.

Works perfect after installing and changing my old Ademco keypad out. It automatically found all of the old codes and started working instantly.

The female voice that describes the various devices that have been tripped is awful...essentially unintelligible if theres the least bit of ambient sound in the room. The quality of the audio is extremely poor- kind of like a cheap shortwave radio. This aspect of the keypad is worthless.
