Honeywell VISTA-20P Ademco Control Panel, PCB in Aluminum Enclosure

This is a really good do it yourself panel!(ps you will need to buy he keypad separately) It might be a little bit hard to understand how to wire it but once you get it it’s really easy! It’s also really easy to program the panel with a Honeywell 6160 keypad! I really recommend to get a 6160 keypad to program this panel because it is really hard to program with the 6150. Please! Save the money and save up for the 6160 it will help you in the longe run with programming! Also if you don’t want to run wires to sensors you can always get the Honeywell 6160rf keypad for wireless devices!

Item was easy to install. But you have to have the correct keypad as others mentioned.

Broken seal, missing parts, box looked used, finger prints on cover and missing transformer.

had to replace a cheaper system and ordered this one. came very quickly and i was able to get it working in a couple hours, most of it was wiring. had to do some searches to get the default master code, as install doc provided was light. only not positive comment would be the picture showed the product coming with a battery and no ac adapter, it came with the ac adapter and no battery. i was prepared to buy one, so it wasnt a big deal, but picture didnt match what i received

This product has a HUGE learning curve which is probably on purpose. The manual is completely useless. I just Googled for how-to installations and eventually found someone who wrote a guide that made pretty good sense. I used an AD2PI from AlarmDecoder and that seems to work great! Next Ill be installing OpenHAB.

Ive installed many of these and have very rarely had an issue with any of these panels. Programming is straight forward as long as you follow the guide. Tech support is readily available. This panel has many options for both residential and commercial. Allows for expansion and zone programming allows your devices to be used in very versatile ways. If you want a traditional alarm panel configuration, Ademco Vista panels have been around a while and are still one of the best choices.

This was easy to set up for fire and security. It replaced an older panel that was just being used for security and was not communicating with a central station..Connected the existing security zones and changed the end of line resistors. I added two wire smoke detectors and then connected it to a central station. It works really good and we are very pleased. I added a siren driver and speakers for the audible alarm. I also used the 6160RF keypad just in case in the future we would want to add some wireless devices. We used a regular 6160 keypad for the timed entry-exit door. We did not try the voice feature as my wife didnt want it activated. This is a good cost effective fire-security panel for most homes or a small business.
