> 3 dayThis is a fantastic scrubber. I will let any reader know very specifics about this scrubber. I previously owned the scrub master older version from about 4 yrs ago. The brushes stopped spinning and I needed a new one. I chose this scrubber because of the price, it came with alot of attachments in their own bag, and because its hoover. I believe hands down hoover is the best. Anyway. I chose this one as my new scrubber. BIG DIFFERENCE! My last hoover was way heavier than this one even before adding water. Also, my old one was longer in the front, making it awkward to carry because all the weight was hanging in the front. This scrubber is nice and compact. Shorter, lighter, and not as wide. Big wheels and short front make it very easy to turn, where my old one was harder. I always bumped stuff. Startup: cord is decent. I wouldnt say short its about average. this scrubber is very quiet. I actually think its quieter than my vacuum slightly. My old one was super duper loud I didnt even want kids downstairs it was so loud. This one is like a vacuum but you can immediately hear the power. The brushes scrubbed so well I could feel the brush vibration sometimes from how powerful. take others advice, rinse wash rinse. Rinse gets your carpet damp enough to work with the soap and move with the brushes easier when you wash. Im 8 months pregnant and can handle this machine so well. Does not strain me to use, and I can actually carry it. Tanks: two tank system plus other compartment for solution, perfection! They are slightly smaller tanks than the scrub master, but Im fine with that because the machine isnt as bulky or heavy. If you ever owned a huge scrubber, you would appreciate the lighter weight, but its not too light. The $89 Bissell classic model, is alot smaller than this machine (for comparison). So I love the size. What took only one tank on my old take just a little over one for each step (rinse step rinse) but honestly I dont care if rather refill than drag a huge machine. Result: my carpets are very clean now. Even spray! The powerful brushes fluffed up my carpet way better than my old machine. Oh my. So soft to walk on and the high traffic area that was crushed down I could barely get up with my old machine, is so fluffed now! So better performance, shocking for a smaller machine. Cleanup: Advanced! If you have ever seen someone elses scrubber, the front window where the water and dirt is sucked up is always disgusting! My old machine came with a thin tool to scrape some gunk out, but I lost it and over time the hair and dirt just collected in it. No way to take this part apart on any machine to clean it. Its sealed and screwed down. On this scrubber, you can actually take it off and clean it! What!? With a V shape it isnt holding a ton of dirt, and the hose attachment flap is in the center so you can rinse the whole inside of this piece. This is a huge plus, people. You can clean everything on this machine spotless when you are done. Please do clean after every use, it only took me ten minutes but it prolongs the life of all scrubbers. I used and cleaned it and it looks brand new, cant even tell I used it. Anyone who owns a scrubber knows how amazing that is. I have struggled with my old one trying to get it clean but never could get that front part clean enough. Gross. Final thought: LOVR THIS MACHINE. Im sorry some other people had trouble, it happens with some products not every one is perfect. This machine didnt leak like my other one, light, and very powerful. I know scrubbers, and this is top knotch! And for $130? Are you kidding!? Fantastic. If you have very tough stains I buy carpet spray spot cleaner and pretreat sometimes, which who cares I understand some stains depending what it is can be hard. But this scrubber is top of the line. Trust me. Why spend more money? Get this machine.

16-11-2024I once read that the Iranian method of cleaning a good rug was to drag it across a field of freshly-fallen snow. This is not an option in my neck of the woods -- try that, and youre likely to end up with a rug full of hamburger wrappers and dog pee. In the past, Ive (very) occasionally rented and lugged home a Big Green Machine; but after some research, and encountering this Hoover, I did a quick calculation and realized that if I performed the equivalent of five rentals with this, itd pay for itself. It has now done that, and I am impressed by the results. It is important to use it well to be really effective, so Im going to share the method Ive developed. The first thing to note is, its very important to empty the lower, dirty water tank regularly. The machines suction depends on this. So, heres what I do now: 1. Vacuum the rug thoroughly, twice if necessary. 2. With a full tank of hot water and cleaning solution (I do like the Hoover Claws and Paws best, chiefly because its aroma isnt obnoxious), with the dial on the front of the input tank turned to Wash and the trigger pulled, run the machine over the rug. I tend to do it in halves -- top half then bottom, relative to where Im standing, in order to assure myself of sufficient coverage. 3. Remove both tanks (very easy once youve done it once or twice) and replenish the fresh water, and dump and rinse the dirty water tank (if your rugs are anything like mine, the water will be gratifyingly filthy -- filth that is now leaving your house). Replace them on the machine. 4. Turn the dial to Rinse and, with the trigger pulled, do exactly what you did in step 2. This forces water, but no cleaning solution, through the rug -- which will now be pretty damp. 5. Remove, dump, rinse and replace the dirty water tank. 6. This is a step I only realized I could do after a few rugs: With the clean water tank still set to Rinse (just in case you touch the trigger), run the machine over the whole rug *again*, but this time do not pull the trigger. The brushes will not turn, but the machine will be sucking excess water out of the rug, which abbreviates the drying period. 7. When youre done, remove, dump (the water will *still* be astonishingly dirty) and rinse the dirty water tank. 8. Contemplate whether you want to do the whole thing over again, given how grubby the output water still is. Abandon this thought, shelving the idea for later. 9. Put the machine away. 10. I recommend a beer or a glass of wine, but youre welcome to have tea instead, as you look at the renewed colours in your rug... 11. Once the rug is dry, Id recommend running the vacuum cleaner over it one more time, to get the pile in order. The attached photo shows a Gabbeh in my bedroom, which I just cleaned. Two greyhounds walk and sleep on it, in addition to humans and cats, so it was long overdue. You can see the disorder of the pile; it settles down as it dries, but the vacuuming step does help.

> 3 dayI love this product! It did a fantastic job on our very dirty carpets. We pre treated spots with the recommended Hoover spot cleaner prior to shampooing the carpets and they look like new. Very pleased.
