Great movie, good story, a must for all Dark Shadows fans to see. This is a great movie, all Dark Dhadows fans should see this movie.

Love this movie from the TV series. Barnabas will always be the original vampire for my generation! The kids today do not know what they are missing.

this movie is great and I love it alot better than the dark shadows movie with johnny depp. house of dark shadows is closer to the original tv show. it also has the same cast from dark shadows. If you love the original dark shadows series than you should watch this movie.

I am glad to have the dvd version. The music, the costumes, the story. It was a treat to watch on the big screen. It is always great to watch.

I was a big fan of the daytime serial when I was a kid. I never did see this movie until it was released on video and by that time I was already an adult. I really enjoyed this movie, not only because it featured all of the familiar actors from the serial, but because this is a slick, well produced, quality movie with a good story-line which stands on its own as a movie--not relying on the series. This movie can even be enjoyed by those who were not familiar with the serial. Its also creepy. This is a vampire tale and Jonathan Frid as the vampire Barnabas Collins was surprisingly scary at times. Since the storylines from the show that were running at the time where not used in the movie, I would say that this film is in one of those parallel worlds so oft used on the show. Those who thought the show was camp will be in for a big surprise when they see this movie.

Someone said this is setting you up for a TV series and it must be easy looking back from now and saying that from our time but this is a great show shot in the typical 1960s quality, but that is the way it was, sorry, its a great show brings back good memories

Love Dark shadows. Never been anything like it.modern adaptations can never capture the magic. Brings back memories of happier times.
