Infant Optics Wide Angle Lens For DXR-8

Indeed, there is ZERO night vision when using this camera lens. Fortunately, you can still hear the kiddo if he wakes, but it makes the lens pretty darn useless.

This lens allows you to see the whole room which is nice. Now I can see the crib and rocking chair. With the other two lenses, I could only see half of the crib from where I was putting the camera.

With products like this it makes me wonder what we have been doing this whole time! Missing out, that’s what. Very rarely are we this satisfied with a product. So easy to install. Captures the entire room so we can keep track of our extremely active toddler. Can’t recommend this enough!

We have twin toddlers and had been using a different baby monitor with two cameras. This worked fine as babies, but they now move so quickly we need to see the entire room at once to make sure everyone is safe. This wide angle lens is a must! Plan ahead so you dont have to buy a second unit like we did - start here!

The wide angle lens works great for daytime, but the night vision is not the best. I can only see a small circle of the room in the center of the camera when the night vision is on. I need to pan the camera around to see anything other than that small circle.

This is more if a software issue but if you use 2x or 4x zoom you cant move around the zoom, you can only move the physical camera. So if you want to zoom into the edge of the cameras frame, you cant

Our daughter just transitioned into a toddler bed and she likes to get up and explore her room so we had to get the wide angle lens. We have used these cameras with the monitor for 2.5 years and have not had any issues that couldnt be fixed but the picture quality in night vision mode truely is awful. I did read the others reviews and was hoping i wouldnt have the same opinion but unfortunately i do. I need this lense no matter what so now we just have to deal with it. but i wouldnt recommend this to anybody.

After 2.5 years with no baby monitor in a small home, we decided to purchase this one because we will soon be moving our infant into the same room as our toddler. The picture quality on the camera is fantastic, and it provides us with peace of mind knowing that our kiddos are safe together in the same room. We also purchased the wide view lens so that we can see both the crib and the twin bed.

We purchased this to replace another popular monitor that frequently had connection issues, cord issues etc. This monitor was crazy easy to set up and has a clear image even at night! We are using foor an active toddler so the wife lens view is perfect for keeping an eye on him. The audio is also very clear and we use it to chat with him from downstairs...no more screaming up the stairs. Lol. Definitely would recommend.

Great Add on lens for the Optics baby cam. The only down fall I have with it is, the picture quality is not as clear now ( especially when you zoom in). Otherwise love that I can my little ones entire room so well.
