The ultra wide lense in nothing is clear at all. It’s better to stick with the original and pan around the room as needed.

This review is for the Wide Angle lens as well as the infant optics DXR-8 Camera. Since I received the camera from our baby registry, could not submit review. So had to submit review on the Angle lens website for the DXR-8 Camera and Lens.

Look no further...this is the best baby monitor Weve tried. The sound quality is great with no feedback issues, and the picture is clear. I especially like the option of changing camera lenses to fit each room. My son is almost 3 and does not always stay in his bed at nap time, so I like that I can pan the room and see what kind of trouble he may be getting into! Overall Im very satisfied with this monitor. This is our third try (had a Motorola and babies r us prior) and by far the best one! Dont waste time on other monitors, this one is worth every cent!

With products like this it makes me wonder what we have been doing this whole time! Missing out, that’s what. Very rarely are we this satisfied with a product. So easy to install. Captures the entire room so we can keep track of our extremely active toddler. Can’t recommend this enough!

Screws in easily. Works perfectly. I can see half the room - not just the bed. Great for toddler no longer contained in crib. Night vision has a hot spot dead center and the periphery is darker. Zoom still works so if I need a crib only view i can get it.

Baby’s room has low ceilings so that the camera couldn’t get far enough from the crib to fully show on the monitor. This wide angle lens made all the difference. Perfect for our situation!

I was hesitant to try this lens after reading several poor reviews. The reviews stated that the picture quality, specifically when using night vision, was horrible. I stumbled upon a Q&A that said the poor picture quality when using night vision had been resolved in newer models. I cannot remember the exact year they said, but we purchased our video monitor in late 2018. I figured I would give it a try since scanning the room for our child (who just moved to a toddler bed) with the standard lens is somewhat annoying. I put the new lens on tonight, and I was very pleased that the picture quality isn’t horrible. The picture quality is slightly worse than when using the standard lens, but I can see clearly enough that it won’t be an issue. My only complaint about this video monitor in general is that I think the picture quality should be better overall for the price, but again, it does it’s job so it’s not something to throw a fit about.

This wide angle veiwing lense definitely gives me extra range in my field of view when I use it with my camera, and its easy to put on or take off. It protrudes a bit from the camera, but I expect as much. However, its frustrating that I needed to buy an ADDITIONAL lense just to get the same view that I would typically get from other baby monitors in this same price range, so it was an added expense that didnt seem totally necessary

I wanted to be able to see more of my daughter’s room. This does great for that! I can see almost her entire room now. During the daytime it’s great, but the nighttime quality is absolutely horrible. But, at 2.5, I really only need to see a soft outline of her, so it’s fine. Just annoying.

Degrades the quality vs the normal lens. Its ok for daytime though
