> 3 dayWhy doesn’t this lens come with the monitor!! It’s a must have. If you decide you want this monitor that is The monitor constantly beeped and is always running out of barriers, but the sound must have finally broken itself so it no longer beeps, and I just have to keep it plugged in all the time. Dumb! I’ve wished for a different monitor since day 1

> 3 dayThis fit our monitor perfectly! We just transitioned our daughter from her crib to her big girl bed and wanted to be able to monitor more of the room to see where she goes if she gets up. This is the perfect lens switch for the monitor. This is our second monitor (we had a Motorola first) and I would recommend it to anyone not looking for a wifi monitor.

> 3 dayThis is my third baby monitor. I purchased it for my 2 year-olds room. My two previous monitors were Samsung SEW-3043W BrightVIEW HD; the Samsung was fine while it worked but both monitors stopped working after about 1 year of regular use. I chose the Infant Optics monitor for 2 reasons - 1) it does not use wifi (my preference for security reasons), and 2) it has a wide angle lens option (sold separately). The wide angle lens is perfect for a bigger view of the entire room which will be great when trying to keep an eye on an active toddler. I have only had the monitor for two days, but it seems to be working great and was very easy to set up. I hope it is reliable and lasts longer than my previous monitors.

> 3 dayIt is a wide angle, captures most of the room. The picture quality leaves a lot to be desired.

> 3 dayThe wide lens isnt that much wider than the standard. So Im not sure that I would have ordered it had I known. The night vision isnt truly night vision. You still need a significant amount of light to see anything in the dark. Maybe in the home setting it is fine. But I use it in my goat barn during kidding season to watch for babies being born. I have to leave all the lights on in the barn to see anything after dark.

> 3 dayMy granddaughter recently graduated from her crib to a “Big Girl” bed now. I am such a fan of infant optics products that I purchased the wide lens so that we had full view of her room during playtime, naptime & bedtime. The vision is so clear even at night. No more moving the camera from side to side. Now I can sit and stalk her from one angle. Absolutely recommend this product

> 3 daySo far we are extremely happy with the new monitor. We purchased the hand unit and 2 cameras. I like that when toggling between rooms you can hear the sound in the room being shown. Many monitors that toggle do not offer that feature. Only issue we have had is that when you add the separate lens that can be purchased for 11$ the night vision does not work and nothing can be see on hand unit. But other then that its a great purchase and worth the $$!

> 3 dayThis is one of the best $11 purchases I’ve ever made. You can see the entire room with this lens if the camera’s put at the right spot. We put this in our sons’ bedroom when we moved them into the same room so we could see both beds, and now I want to put one in our playroom also. It’s a really, really nice add-on to the monitor at an awesome price point.

> 3 dayI was very happy to see that this lens is available for a reasonable price. The lens is easy to install, and provides a nice panoramic of almost the entire room, which is perfect for a roaming toddler. Some reviewers complained about the distortion of the picture, but I find the distortion minimal and am very pleased with the video quality. As other reviewers have mentioned, this lens offers very poor to no night vision (despite the fact that the night vision on the monitor is awesome). If you keep a dim light on it isnt an issue, but in total darkness it is pretty much impossible to see anything. I would have given this lens a 5-star rating if it allowed decent night vision, but overall this a must have if you have a toddler.

22-11-2024This lens is good during the day providing sharp wide picture of the baby room. Unfortunately, it is absolutely useless at night even with low light on in the room. I have purchased Infant Optics DXR-8 baby video monitor for my sons room because it included night vision feature allowing us to keep track on him without disturbing his sleep. The original lens that came with the camera does a great job, but the provides limited field of view only covering about a 1/4 of the 9 x 9 room. Wide angle lens allows us to see most of the room and actually provides sharper picture compared to the original lens. However, it seems to block/reflect the IR light at night making the monitor too dark to see anything.
