iolo - System Mechanic Pro, Computer Cleaner for Windows, Blocks Viruses and Spyware, Restores System Speed, Software License

This is a product that does exactly as described. Ive used it for several years. My favorite - makes your computer better than new

First of all, there are a lot of extremely positive reviews about this product and a lot of very negative ones as well. In a sense, both sides are correct. After having used System Mechanic Pro off and on for the past 5 years or so, Ive come to find that the trick to getting the software to operate at its fullest potential is to never take the softwares recommendation on how to automatically fix things for granted. Running a system check and then letting the software automatically fix everything is just asking for trouble. This is especially true when it comes to repairing the registry. I have had way too many experiences where System Mechanic Pro completely FUBARd my computer because I was dumb enough to let it automatically fix hundreds of alleged registry problems when my PC had been running just fine in the first place.

I do not normally bother writing reviews about products. If they dont work or customer service is poor I just cancel and never buy them again. IOLO has pissed me off enough to actually spend the time to give them a negative review. I strongly recommend avoidance of any and all IOLO products and services. IOLO is extremely aggressive in their marketing and up selling efforts. When I attempted to renew my one year subscription I had a very difficult time getting the deal they were promising me. Every time I contacted customer service I was on hold for an extended period of time and had to argue with the customer service rep to stop trying to upsell me. A month after I renewed I received an email indicating I had signed up for their tech support service which I did not want. There was no online option to cancel so I had to go through customer service and again argue with them to cancel the order they generated and stop the upsell script. Regardless of the marginally effectiveness of their product I will not be renewing with IOLO ever again.

Probably works great but after Im almost done with installing it, it tells me to remove by virus protection. NOT! So I havent used it. It is sitting in my room. I wont remove my virus protection I purchased just to use this

As what everyone says, its excellent: makes computer run much more smoothly, protects against malware, the whole shebang...

I had been using this software on Windows 7 and 8 without problems, but had major crashes on a new Dell desktop with Windows 10. I also found a paucity of restore points as another reviewer and finally I was unable to start Windows at all and had to reinstall the operating system, losing all my software in the process. Since then Ive not reinstalled this program and the computer works fine.

Wish Id looked here before installing System Mechanic. Dell gave this to me as part of a maintenance contract. Well you get what you pay for, or actually worse, in this case. After installing System Mechanic, I let it clean up my computer. When I rebooted all of my printers were gone. This software is for more dangerous for your computer than anything it claims to fix! Luckily I had a system restore point to go back to.

Hope you have plenty of time on our hands, cause you gonna need it to load and wait and reload and wait and reload and wait. But, have no fear, theyll throw in a commercial for their PC cleanup package. Wait,, isnt that what this is supposed to do?

the best product i have found out there to keep everything running smooth. you can select to automatically have system mechanic clean up items for you or you can run the operations yourself.
