Ten years ago, I swore off System Mechanic because it simply replicated for the most part, what is available with most of the available tools in Windows. I decided to take a chance, spend the $40, and give them another chance. At first, it took my machine(s) re-booting at least five times to get the basic program installed. Yes, i am running good quality hardware and Windows 10 with at least 8 to 16gb RAM, and 7200rpm HD, and off a dedicated hi speed wifi modem. An hour or so later, the main screens and menus finally start to unfold and right away the banner changes from install on as many machines as you like! to..... drum roll.... OH! you want this add on, or that add on?, well hold on to your credit card, because we gonna hit you for $24.99/year for some very basic stuff.. and yes, PER MACHINE!!... add to that, basically by doing some checking, the program is leaning heavy on the Win10 diagnostics and antivirus that comes with the WinOS... Save your money... System Mechanic is a waste, again... I run PCMatic Lifetime on some other machines, one time fee, and superior filechecking for antivirus... caught three that System Mechanic blew by without even blinking... you will also see the screaming banner wanting you to ADD!!! another year or two, or three to the $40 you already dropped for the supposed unlimited installations... yup, that much is true, but then look carefully at what you are signing up for.... to me, the scammers are hard at work for the add on game... careful too with the add on of the Phoenix 360; in confirmation run against my other software, Phoenix 360 was showing two or more open back doors that pissed me to no end... cudos to the Marketing Department for this piece of trash in shiny armor and some flashy graphics that are meaningless... like having a Porsche with a Briggs & Stratton lawn mower engine; performance is a result of what you already paid for in Windows 10... Forgive me System Mechanic, but this is pure junk, a hype job, lipstick on a pig. Not Amazons fault.. Look for quality, not hype. Adios System Mechanic... worthless.

Product has no customer support that is of any use to anyone. I installed it into 1, ONE laptop. My owner, then would not install into mine. It would not take the activation number and was supposed to be for multiple use. The Customer Service does not respond on their website and the instant chat only works if you bought the product from one of there Approved Sellers what I was told..???? The instant chat, was on there site too. A total waste of time on that one. While I have used this product for years and years.. I WOULD NEVER, NEVER WASTE ANOTHER DIME ON THESE FOLKS. I have since went to Avast on one laptop, avira on another, without this nonsense and have no issues at all.

My PC is almost four years old, and its been having issues with slowness, shutting down, etc. I used CC Cleaner, and it helped a little, but I was ready to give up on the PC and had started shopping for something new.

From the day I first received this producing in July 2018, I had problems. Wouldnt load then and still will not load now. I also noticed that the programs files on the disk are all dated in Spril, 2015., Yes 2015. So the files were no good when I purchased it.

Good software, keeps system working well, though can be glitchy on the Lenovo Y700 15ACZ.

I have been using System Mechanic for 10 years, and it has been pretty good. Recently Iolo has become update-happy (it did two in quick succession today, each time finding problems that were missed earlier - or pretending to). It tells me I have 4 cores in the CPU (LiveBoost, Realtime Status) but Intel specifies that the processor has only 2 cores. 4 threads but 2 cores. I believe Intel. This does not enhance my confidence in System Mechanic. If it cannot accurately detect the CPU, what else is it missing?

I bought this product for the first time, last year, albeit reluctantly. I had an Ailing Windows 7 box that had plenty of hardware power, but no more gusto. That version of the product, really brought the system back to life and its still running today. I bought this version of the product recently to help out an i7 core ultrabook with an SSD drive that all of a sudden became an absolute slug. I really thought I had a hardware issue the system was so slow. I installed the latest version of System Mechanic Pro on it and ran the software. I was happy to discover that it was just system clutter in the way of temp files, registry issues, and clogged memory. I run the utilities every 1 to 2 weeks and it really does increase the overall system performance. I also really like the unlimited license! We have 4 computers in the house and its really nice not to have to buy extra licenses.

It says it fixed 4000 issues and the computer is just as slow, it has a problem updating. Im still working with it trying to resolve that problem, I just installed it a few days ago and have not noticed a big difference.
