iolo - System Mechanic Pro, Computer Cleaner for Windows, Blocks Viruses and Spyware, Restores System Speed, Software License

I use System Mechanic on one computer and Tune Up Utilities on another. They are both good, but I prefer Tune Up Utilities.

Loaded on my computer in January, lasted 2 months now request reactivate.

Anyone running Windows pcs needs this program, this was a great bargain, it cost a whole lot more at other strores.

Did not do what I thought it would do. Had to have my computer repaired after downloading the program.

I have been using SM professional for more than 3 years now, and pc performance was generally acceptable and average (not superb). I noticed in the last year and just recently, the updates always included a Trojan spyware which fortunately was captured and quarantined by my other security software. I reported these events to the customer technical support, and even submitted the filename of the malware for their evaluation. Its nearly a week and I never got a response (same thing in the past). This same thing happened consistently in all of my 3 other home computers. I finally decided to remove/uninstall the SM software in all other home comuters and ran a thorough scan to make sure there were no traces of malware left. To would be customers - buy this product at your own risk. I will never use SM again. My computers now are running even faster than before I had SM professional.

I have been using System Mechanic for 10 years, and it has been pretty good. Recently Iolo has become update-happy (it did two in quick succession today, each time finding problems that were missed earlier - or pretending to). It tells me I have 4 cores in the CPU (LiveBoost, Realtime Status) but Intel specifies that the processor has only 2 cores. 4 threads but 2 cores. I believe Intel. This does not enhance my confidence in System Mechanic. If it cannot accurately detect the CPU, what else is it missing?

Hope you have plenty of time on our hands, cause you gonna need it to load and wait and reload and wait and reload and wait. But, have no fear, theyll throw in a commercial for their PC cleanup package. Wait,, isnt that what this is supposed to do?

First off.. ATTENTION ALL WHO ARE NOT VERY TECH SAVVY.. IF YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT IT HAS ITS OWN VIRUS PROTECTION AND FIREWALL.. YOU MUST DO A CUSTOM INSTALL AND UN-CLICK THE VIRUS/FIREWALL SO IT DOES NOT INSTALL.. IF YOU INSTALL THEM IT MAY CONFLICT WITH YOUR CURRENT VIRUS/FIREWALL SOFTWARE!! To me all the complainers on here that said it caused their computers to freeze or not work is primarily due to the reason I just stated. I have had no issues with this product, it works awesome. It is way better than the product I had before this, and keeps my computer running at peak performance always. It has a lot of bells and whistles so take the time to open all the tabs and set it up the way you want so you get the full benefit out of it and you will be as happy as I am with it. Also, the price is very low for the quality and the best part is when you register the product with IOLO it will immediately update this to its most recent release (version 12) at no extra charge.. A version I might add that the company sells on their website for $60, almost 2x the price you pay here.. Highly recommended!!

it already what me to buy a up grade really

Cleans up all the clutter without a problem, and the system runs like new. I dont use the anti-virus piece, since I use Stopzilla, or Norton for that.
