> 24 hourThis kit is great! The colors are SO pigmented, very rich/bold. Theres a few extra steps and the dyed cloth has to sit for a day or two to let the color set, so its not a kit to use if you need something for the same day, but its very worth it for the color quality. Also, the 4 jars of color goes a loooong way. I mixed 5 12oz bottles (blue, red, yellow, purple and green) and that only used about half of the jars. We dyed multiple shirts for 2 adults, a toddler and an 11yr old, plus a few sets of socks and a couple small towels and still had dye left over in the bottles. Ive got plenty of dye left to another big dye protect, but I will definitely be buying this kit again!

> 24 hourThe dye I worked well on a white cotton sheet. I also overdyed some fabric strips cut from plaid and other patterned button down shirts and they looked great as well. The red was particularly potent. They all look great though.

> 24 hourIve been using this dye kit to create my own cotton yarn colors. Ive been dying 100% cotton yarn with great results. Very fun! Love it! The color intensity is tricky and I would recommend testing on a scrape. I desired both subtle shading and intense colors depending on the project I was using the yarn for. Intensity can be increased with concentration, time and/or adding table salt. Ive made several balls of yarn now and it only takes a tad of dye, so this will last me a long time. I just mix up the colors in little plastic containers, then blend like food dye or paint. I quick test my color on white paper towel, when I think Im close I test on a swatch of yarn and let it sit for 5-10 mins. When I like the shade, I paint the color on the yarn with a paint brush. For most dying project, I would let the color intensify by covering it with plastic wrap and letting it sit 3 to 24 hrs.
