> 3 dayI had been taking Methyl B-12 in different forms as I am B-12 deficient. I had tried a number of brands, but when my blood work was done, it would show that I am still deficient. My doctor told me to double the amount I was taking which was in a B complex I was using. So I had to purchase just the B-12 to take along with the B Complex pill. Anyway, I decided to try this brand and go back to one that dissolves in the mouth. I look forward every morning to taking this B-12 as I can make it through the day much better than before. The lemon flavor is mild. I do wish the tablets were smaller, but as long as it helps my energy level, I am content. None of the other brands I have tried made any difference in my energy level but this one.

Beautifully Imperfect!
> 3 dayI think a higher dosage might be more noticeable for me, but that said, this gives me a pretty decent boost in energy, at best. Easy to chew, and the flavor is ok. Some days, I have issues with energy, so this is helpful to me, when those days come and go. No noticeable side-effects. Once I run out, Ill look into a slightly higher dosage, to hopefully see more effects. Otherwise, a pretty solid product.

> 3 dayI was looking for a B12 that I could actually use and notice a difference. Well, I noticed the difference in a matter of a couple days. Sooner really! I dont even need my pot of coffee in the morning. I am not down to a cup of coffee. I was recommended to get B12 after a blood panel showed I was deficient and this is better than the last one and I thought it was good. This is superior!

> 3 dayI received it quickly and it’s a great product. The only exception is that I ordered the lozenges and received chewable tables. The lozenges absorb better and are not as hard on your liver/kidneys/gut. But I will definitely order from them again.

> 3 day1000 mg made me jittery after a few days. I cut it d own to once every 3 days and now I can tolerate it. I can tell you this works and it works WELL. My MD told me to only buy Jarrow Methyl B-12, I dont know why. But it works very fast and will zing you out, so watch for it and reduce dose if needed.

> 3 dayI purchased this to correct a b12 deficiency due to a strict vegetarian diet. I was suffering from fatigue, depression, sore tongue, fragile gums, cracked lips, and pounds that wouldnt drop. Within one dose I felt an instant mood boost and energy jolt. After taking it daily for over a month, all of my symptoms are resolved. Im energetic and smiling again. My anxiety has seen a modest reduction. And Im losing a pound a week with little effort. If I miss a dose, I can tell. Obviously I had an acute deficiency so the average person shouldnt expect results as dramatic as mine. But its clearly effective at its purpose, and also tastes good. Tip: dont chew it, just push it as far back undo your tongue as possible and let it dissolve slowly.

Greater than one week(1)Both products are extremely delicious and its difficult to resist the temptation to eat too much. (2)Both products contain 1000 micrograms of methylcobalamin per tablet and will easily and rapidly dissolve in our mouth. (3)Both products are economically priced but the Jarrow Formulas product is 11.78% cheaper per tablet than the Source Naturals product. (4)One white-colored Jarrow Formulas tablet (lozenge) is much, much larger than one pink-colored Source Naturals tablet. (5)Jarrow Formulas other ingredients: xylitol, cellulose, vegetable-source stearic acid, lemon flavor, vegetable-source magnesium stearate, citric acid, and silicon dioxide. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. (6)Source Naturals other ingredients: mannitol, sorbitol, natural cherry flavor, stearic acid, and magnesium stearate. Conclusion: Source Naturals is better if you want just the methylcobalamin with as little as possible of everything else. Jarrow Formulas is better if you want to enjoy the extremely delicious taste of a much larger tablet (lozenge) at a slightly lower price per tablet. Color Changes: Source Naturals starts out as a tiny, very slightly pinkish, white tablet that turns moderately dark pink if left outside of the pill bottle for 3 to 12 hours. Jarrow Formulas starts out as a large tablet with the exact same, very slightly pinkish, white color. However, unlike the tiny, circular, chewable, Source Naturals tablet, the large, circular, chewable, Jarrow Formulas tablet doesnt change color much if left outside of the pill bottle for 3 to 12 hours. The pink dots on the Jarrow Formulas tablet will get darker and more noticeable after being left outside of the pill bottle for 3 to 12 hours but the original, very slightly pinkish, white color will still be the predominant color. Like other forms of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin is pink and apparently gets even pinker when these tablets react with the humidity in the air. Question: Does methylcobalamin get absorbed better than cyanocobalamin? Answer: Yes, slightly. Question: Does sublingual vitamin B12 get absorbed better than swallowed vitamin B12? Answer: Yes, slightly, but not because the skin under the tongue is any better at absorbing vitamin B12 than the skin of the small intestines, where most of the vitamin B12 absorption occurs. Sublingual merely extends the total length of the absorption zone by about 5%. To get the full benefit of that extra 5%, we would need to keep the sublingual tablet in our mouth for about 15 minutes. The large intestines cannot absorb any vitamin B12, even though plenty of vitamin B12 is always being produced in everybody [including vegans] by the bacteria inhabiting the large intestines. Question: What increases and what decreases vitamin B12 absorption? Answer: Calcium increases vitamin B12 absorption. Vitamin C decreases vitamin B12 absorption. Eating vitamin B12 together with food increases vitamin B12 absorption. THE BIG PICTURE: The human brain shrinks in size as it gets older and vegans, who tend to be deficient in vitamin B12, have the fastest rates of brain shrinkage as they get older while people who swallow vitamin B12 pills tend to have the slowest rates of brain shrinkage as they get older. Meat eaters have slower rates of brain shrinkage compared to vegans but faster rates of brain shrinkage compared to vitamin B12 pill swallowers. Aim to actually absorb exactly 6 to 9 micrograms of vitamin B12 per day to stay at the optimum blood level of vitamin B12. Therefore, my advice to the vast majority of people is: Because we can only absorb about 1.05% of the vitamin B12 that we swallow, we need to swallow one 500 microgram pill once each day or one 5,000 microgram pill once each week to end up absorbing the optimum amount.

> 3 dayThese contain xylitol and I dont want this or other artificial sweeteners in any of my supplements. (sigh) Many people, especially those who are dealing with illness simply cannot tolerate all these artificial ingredients (reactions, etc.) I know I speak for so many with illnesses who are desperate for a pure vitamin without artificial sweeteners or artificial ingredients or the natural things like food grade rubber, wood, citric acid from black mold or GMO corn, etc. and the list goes on, included in it. Why not carry a line thats free of xylitol, etc. Many cannot absorb B12 and have to supplement. Its a shame because Methyl B12 is the preferred and natural form but due to the xylitol, citric acid, etc. added I wont be buying anymore. I dont need or want a vitamin that tastes like candy, I just want the healthiest, safest form of vitamin. So another bottle to throw away, but use caution: Xylitol is very dangerous for dogs, its in chewing gum, mints etc. so I wouldnt want to leave it out anywhere a pet could have access to it. A few pieces of xylitol in gum can kill a dog and that also depends on how much is in it etc. We all need to let these companies know they are doing a good job when they make a pure form of a supplement, but why not carry a line for people who are concerned, informed, people looking for purity in supplements, autoimmune disease, undiagnosed illness, digestive issues, allergies, etc about the extra added ingredients and offer us a line without all the artificial ingredients please. Thank you.

> 3 dayIve been using this product for a few years and just read the label yesterday and found that you only take it every 2 to 3 days. I was taking it every day, but I guess because Im 75, its OK. Now, Im taking it every other day. Dont notice any problems, but like to follow the rules. I take B-100 Complex also because I have hypoglycemia. I read where B-12 is good for older people because we dont make our own anymore. Good brand and Amazon.com is great!
