> 3 dayI work in the Telecom field and would be lost without this tool.. This allows you to identify coax cables in a house or building. They make more expensive models, but they can be complicated and many times confusing.. This $14.00 tool is the best investment I ever made.. I own about 3 of them, incase I misplace my main one. Cant go wrong for the money..Even weekend warriors will find this useful, if you do any of your own coax wiring and tv hook ups.

> 3 dayThis is a handy tool to have. It allows you to tone out to find the right cable terminus, and it alert of a short. Sure, you can use a multi-meter to verify a short free cable run, but this is just more convenient. It can be easier than you think to accidentally miss a thin strand of coax shielding that has not been properly folded back and could short to the center conductor. I always test my terminations prior to putting a cable into use. This tool helps make it extra easy.

> 3 dayIm a field tech with comcast and a few of my colleagues have these as an efficient and space saving way to quickly tone out a line. because were constantly moving around, getting into tiny spaces and whatnot, i got an awesome tiny toolpouch to put on my belt with my essential cable prep tools. I was recommended this, and got it, and was so excited to test it out. in the instructions it gives you a few examples of the different colors the led can give and the different sounds it can make depending on the continuity of the coax line. Well, while using it to tone out a line in a customers home that has Dish TV equipment on one of their lines. Welp, that line happened to be the first one i used to test out my new baby. and welp, guess what? THE SPEAKER BLEW!! didnt even have this for a full day and BAM! its done. I mean, come on, the toners we get, the yellow ones that come with the 5 different resistant caps? at least itll say Short or Voltage or something that lets you quickly identify that line as one with a splitter or a satellite tv box on it. but this little pocket tester? Im really extremely disappointed in this purchase, waste of money.

> 3 dayVery heavy duty toner built very well and has a clip you can secure to utility belts/pockets. Love the integrated on/off instead of having to manually turn the device on and off. Saves battery life and is easy to figure out the functions of the device. Recommend anyone who is looking to save time and effort trying to tone coaxial cable!
