I would say that everything about it is perfect for my soldering/hot air station. Has a great layout for small parts, screws, drivers, bits and magnets inside the material for certain items. I thought about the smaller, but im glad I went with this one. I probably would have gotten larger if it was available. Oh and easy to clean. They should sponsor me for this plug! Its a good item though so it earned it. The one thing I havent tried is the driver holders. I will update if I have any issues with those.

I used to do lots of DIY. Many times small screws fall down in carpet and difficult to find. This helps to keep the screws stay inside the mat.

Great mat for conducting repairs. Lots of sectioned spaces embossed into the mat makes disassembling parts in an organized way convenient. Seems durable and effective for repairing your devices.

The only negitive i have is that it is just a bit too small, still very functional, but I would prefer it to be scaled up about 20-30%. Outside of that it works well takes the heat and is easy to clean and has lots of places for tidbits while working on electronics. Its as well made as a silicone can be and is a nice addition to my work bench

I have always soldered on a surface at hand. A dusty board from the garage, a rock in the yard, my desk, the dining room table (until she objected to the burn marks). This silicone mat will both help me organize my solder work, and keep me out of trouble. The edges are lined with all sorts of bins and holders for essentials. The silicone stands up to hot irons and captures solder spatters. It is large enough to give me a good workspace, and rolls up to go on a shelf easily. The silicone body is thick enough to last a long time. I am very pleased.
