Very sturdy, but nice texture for holding small parts in place. Only problem with it is that its a bit of a dust magnet, but it can be wiped clean. Good value!

The mat is fine, protects the desk. I chose based on how much area I wanted it to cover. The little covered containers arent very useful, the lids dont stay closed. In reality, Im not using any of the designated area for storing parts, I have no doubt I would knock them all with my sleeves. However, this is exactly what I needed to safely solder on my desk. Not very expensive and does what I need.

Good stuff

heat resistance was al I was in the market for. This does not prevent static discharge. But if youre new to soldering, this is perfect. I work on guitar components and it was just the right size for what I needed and lays over my guitar to protect it while im performing surgery.

I bought this to put over my nice desk so I can solder without the worry of scratching, burning, or cause any other damage to my desk. Since then I have soldered directly on this mat or using helping hands with no issue. The price is great and so is the quality. I highly recommend this product.
