The recesses are only a couple millimeters. Too shallow to hold anything but the smallest screws

I haven’t used it to sotter anything I’m trying to learn how to sotter so I bought this but I have used it to fix my controllers and things like that

Giving this a 5 out of 5 because, for the price, it works very well, is chocked full of feature, and overall performs as described. One improvement I would like to see, but that would likely add cost, is a longer and/or thinner hinge on the three compartments at top of the sheet. As it stands, they work well enough, but take a bit of wiggling everytime to get them to close and stay closed. The issue is that the hinge , which is really just a narrow, slightly thinner piece of the silicone material the entire item is made of, is a bit too narrow in depth and/or a bit too thick in material thickness. This produces a stiffer, harder to fold closed door. It would seem that either making this hinge a bit thinner or a bit longer/deeper would allow for the doors of these three compartments to be closed quicker and more securely without as much focused manipulation as the current doors/hinges.
