> 24 hourIf you dont have one of these yet- buy it now! My wife and I LOVE this amazing thing. We are not big fans of letting our kids pee in public, as some are. This portable wonder has allowed us to make emergency potty stops in NYC parks, sidewalks and even on the subway platform. Usually, we just use it in the park when we dont want to go searching for a public toilet (which is often dirty anyhow). Use plastic grocery store bags (double bag them in case one has a hole in it) for lining, then drop them in the trash. So simple, fast, sanitary and easy. Even doubles as a kid sized (and clean) toilet seat for those public restrooms which are less than sanitary.

> 24 hourMy daughter is on the petite side and she will not go potty on a public potty because she feels like she is going to fall in. However, she has no trouble going when we use the Potette Plus! We have taken it with us on every outing and on visits to the grandparents houses! We havent used it as a stand-alone but its been amazing helping her go on big potties away from home! Highly recommend it!! EDIT: We have been using this thing for nearly six months now and it has not once failed to fit a potty that weve put it on. And today was the first time I have had to use it as a stand-alone when the park restrooms were locked (UGH!!) and I had to rush to get it set up in the trunk of the SUV. It took me all of 20 seconds to set it up with some plastic grocery bags into a stand-alone potty and get my daughter on it. Thankful for the option that this can work with a toilet or without. Cant say enough good things about this!!

> 24 hourI didnt really buy this as a travel potty, although I did buy some of the bag refills so I can take this to the park for emergencies. I bought this to use on public restroom toilets. Does fit in my small diaper bag, but is a tight fit with diapers inside (have a younger child still in diapers). Would fit easily if I didnt have to carry diapers for the other little one. Better to carry in medium or large diaper bag. Does come in its own plastic carry bag if you dont want to put in a diaper bag. So far it has fit fine on all public toilets weve used. I love the fact that my toddler can now hold onto the feet of this potty chair instead of the sides of the public toilet. Being that it is made for travel and to be compact it is small in the fact that if you have a little boy, you need to teach him to keep his legs together when sitting on this on a public toilet (if hes not peeing standing up yet). Overall, I like having this for sanitary purposes and for park emergencies.

> 24 hourWe use this with our 2.5 year old during the potty training process with much success! It is sturdy on public toilets. We had tried the Mommys Helper seat that folds into quarters, and that seat was awful. The Potette Plus is worlds better in design. Even though It doesnt fold downward as much as the Mommys Helper seat, it does fold fairly flat, which essentially ends up taking the same amount of room in our travel bag. Also having this seat when were out at a park or festival and using it in its self standing mode has been great. Its taken a lot of anxiety out of our collective potty training experience to know that were carrying the potty that our little one can feel safe going on inside or outside. We would highly recommend this to anyone.

> 24 hourThis is an ingenious little travel potty that can be converted from a freestanding potty, to a seat for a regular toilet. It is a little tricky to get the legs to flip up or down, but once you get it, it isnt hard. As a potty seat on a toilet, it doesnt work very well because it slips around too much for the child to feel secure. It is a great size for travel, though, because its nice and small. The travel bag is just a heavy duty plastic drawstring bag, though. It is hard to get the liners to stay in place, and they dont seem very absorbent for large amounts of urine. The liners are sold separately, but you could probably take a regular plastic shopping bag, put some absorbent material in it and use that instead.

> 24 hourWe love this Potette Plus so much that we have two of them - one for the diaper bag and one for my husbands car. First of all, be sure that you buy the Potette PLUS, not just the plain Potette. The difference is, the Potette PLUS can also sit over a normal toilet, thereby creating a safe, clean potty seat on a public toilet. The regular Potette doesnt open up all the way to do this. We use this whenever were out shopping, visiting friends or relatives, or hiking. We rarely use the liners. We use it mostly as a travel potty seat to go over toilets, and when we are out hiking. We do not use the liners when were out hiking unless my daughter needs to make a BM. We just let the pee soak into the ground because were in the middle of the woods anyway. I no longer dread hearing the words, Mommy, I need to use the potty! from the back seat of the car. It makes life so much easier!!

> 24 hourMan, this has been a game changer. I love this little seat. I like the fold up kind because it takes up less room in the diaper bag but that was its only good point. This thing provides a good, solid seat for the littles to sit on. The fold up thing can shift and even sink bending down under a little 30# bottom. I like the legs for setting it on the ground. If the public restroom toilet is nasty Ill have him sit on this on the floor. Perfect. It came with 3 grocery store bags that had absorbent padding adhered to the bottom. It was handy, I used all 3 but didnt feel the price warranted purchasing more. I just keep a couple grocery store bags in the diaper bag and use those when needed.

> 24 hourI have had this potette for a few moths now and have used it quite a few times. I keep it in my car since it folds up and comes with the plastic storage bag. The seat is very very hard and quite uncomfortable for my 3 year olds little bottom, She refused to use it the first two months because it hurt her bottom. I think after her growth spurt she acquired a little more cushion on her bottom, making it slightly more comfortable. It is very compact, which is good, but putting it in the sitting potty position and getting the bag around it before your child pees herself can be a challenge. There have been a few times that i was unable to get the leg part of it snapped in place in time and had to hold it steady myself. Folding it back up is challenging as well as I have pulled the leg things off completely. I thought I broke it but it snaps back in place if you apply force. I did take the advice of other reviewers and made my own potty bags. I use regular plastic grocery bags and instead of a diaper or maxi pad I use puppy training pads cut into large rectangles. Not once has there been an incident of pee going anywhere but the pad. This potette is better than most, I would of just made the seat softer and the legs easier to use, I did try this as a potty seat as well in a public restroom and it is easier to not use it. The seat is just too small for public toilets and my child did not feel very secure. Am I glad I bought it? Yes, only because I can keep it in my car and my child can go potty right there on the floor behind drivers seat in a 2 door Monte Carlo, and then I can fold it up and slip it under the seat completely out of sight.

> 24 hourNever thought Id have anything to say about a portable toilet seat but this proved to be incredibly valuable. First of all, the build is sturdy and the plastic arms were long enough to accommodate any toilet weve encountered. We used it at home for a while until our kid was comfortable (and grown) enough to sit on the toilet without it. The arms fold in under the seat, making it easy to toss into a plastic bag and tote around. Good toilet seat adapter for a good price. Its real value, however, didnt become apparent until we started taking our kid camping and on long road trips. As mentioned before, this seat is very portable, but fit one of these with an appropriately sized plastic bag (I believe it comes with a few bags but we ended up using the kind you get from grocery stores at check-out.. that is if they havent yet been banned where you live) and you have yourself an instant porta-potty (check for holes in bag first, of course) .. just as advertised. The legs extend down just enough so theres ample room for the bag to accommodate whatever a reasonably-sized child should be able to produce in one sitting. Once done, just remove the bag, tie it up, and toss away. On one particularly long road trip it was raining hard outside and there were no toilets/rest stops for miles in either direction so we set it up and our child was able to use it in the back seat of our car. Of course your mileage may vary on this one .. Our child has long since outgrown this but Id still recommend this to any parent with a small child ..

> 24 hourPotty training was a terrifying prospect for me, especially being out and about. At the same time, I didnt want to be stuck at home for weeks/months until my toddler was potty trained. We live quite far from town and that was another fear of mine. So I bought this more for the travel potty use than the trainer seat use. However, on our first excursion out with it, we used it both ways, and it is so useful! Its small enough that it fits easily in my 14x14 wet/dry bag, with extra liners, change of bottoms, wipes, and a cloth diaper for wiping up messes. Its really easy to whip out in the very short amount of time my daughter has between I have to pee!! and actually going. Like at least one other reviewer has said, its important to know that if youre going to use it as a potty, you need to kind of lock the legs into place by pushing them up into the seat part. Then, to fold back up, you just need to carefully pull the legs out one notch. To go from folded up to trainer seat, theres no locking into place necessary. The liners that come with it are really amazing. The absorbent pad holds most if not all of the pee my toddler releases at a time (it claims to hold 5oz) so Im not just carrying around a bag of liquid. At the same time, $10.xx for 30 liners (when my daughter, who is still in the early stages of potty training, can pee 5 times in just a few hours) can get costly. So weve found that the small plastic garbage bags (4 gallon) are much more cost effective. (Our grocery store has a generic pack of 30 for $1.67.) If Im really concerned about the bag of pee, I can throw some paper towels or even a cloth diaper in it. I still plan to buy the Potette Plus liners from time to time as a luxury item, or maybe if were going on a trip where we might not be able to dispose of the bags in a timely manner. =) Ive read that plastic shopping bags like from the grocery store would work well, and I could see that. But I dont know about you, but most of our plastic bags have holes in them, plus now more and more cities are going bag-less anyway, so its nice to know the small garbage bags work, too. Ive never tried any other 2-in-1 type travel potties like this, but Im very, very happy with my purchase.
