Greater than one weekThis is an ingenious little travel potty that can be converted from a freestanding potty, to a seat for a regular toilet. It is a little tricky to get the legs to flip up or down, but once you get it, it isnt hard. As a potty seat on a toilet, it doesnt work very well because it slips around too much for the child to feel secure. It is a great size for travel, though, because its nice and small. The travel bag is just a heavy duty plastic drawstring bag, though. It is hard to get the liners to stay in place, and they dont seem very absorbent for large amounts of urine. The liners are sold separately, but you could probably take a regular plastic shopping bag, put some absorbent material in it and use that instead.

20-11-2024Ive been using this portable potty now for a month and love it. Love the fact that its portable which means my son doesnt have to come in contact with public toilets, for no bathroom situations you can prop it up, out it in your truck trunk or the ground and setup your baggies then have him do his duty, and also if youre out of bags, it works perfect as a secure seat for the guy on the dirt or grass. With a newbie potty trained toddler, them telling you they have to potty means now! All my mommy friends own one in different colors. The only one drawback is how hard it can be to put it away because you have to unsnap the legs carefully or it will pop off. With many reviewers saying, you have to snap the legs in to be secure before they sit, then snap them out to fold it back to its small size. I havent had to use this on the seat yet. (Thats the minus one star) I bought compostable baggies from costco and just line them with either napkin I pack with the potty or from the bathrooms. Fits perfectly and its biodegradable. Though this comes with a thick plastic bag carrier, it ripped on me, so Im still looking for a perfect bag I can carry the potty, bags, wipes, sanitizer, and napkins in. So if you have suggestions to share, please comment. One of the best used baby items Ive used!

> 3 dayWe’ve used this potty when out of the house and for traveling. It’s so small and lightweight it’s perfect for carrying in a diaper bag or backpack. It has fit onto every potty we’ve set it on. The key is setting it far enough back on the toilet seat. It even works well on airplanes. It’s easy to wipe down after and the plastic bag it comes in is nice to keep it separate from other items in your bag. We’ve never had a need to use it as a stand alone seat but I could see how it would work well. If you use this with a boy or girl, it works great just make sure the potty seat is set back on the toilet seat and your child is sitting back as well. The guard in the front makes the pee go straight down into the toilet and if the pee happens to go over the front of the guard it won’t matter because it still all goes into the toilet!

19-11-2024This travel potty is exactly what I was looking for. My son is tiny and definitely cant use an adult size potty yet. I was the mom carrying his normal potty around because I was disgusted by the thought of him trying to not fall through in regular toilet. The potty fits nicely on every seat Ive tried so far. When using it as a stand alone potty it is low to the ground but my toddler doesnt seem to mind. Its small enough to fit in my backpack diaper bag no problem. I also love that he can hold on to the legs instead of grabbing the public seat I use it with a toilet seat cover and its the perfect pair.

Greater than one weekI got this when we first started using the potty on a regular basis because my daughter was still a little scared of the big potty. It is great because it easily fits in a diaper bag and is easy to take on the go. It saved the day on a trip to the park this spring when the bathroom facilities were not open yet and we had a I have to go now! moment - I set this up using one of bags that was included and was able to just remove it once she was done, tie it up and throw it away - accident avoided! As other reviewers have mentioned, you can use plastic grocery sacks lined with an absorbent paper towel or something similar so I wouldnt recommend buying the special bags.

Greater than one weekMy son just turned three (also has been in 3T pants for six or so months and transitioning from 4T to 5T shirts) and this does take some adjusting to be sure he doesnt pee out the front of it. That being said, it has been a big help when using public restrooms. I still lay toilet paper down on the seat before I place the potty seat over top just because it makes me feel better. But I simply place my son on the seat and he aims as best he can by leaning forward, etc. He has yet to have a BM on it, so I do anticipate some maneuverability issues there. (We also havent had to use it as a free standing potty yet. It is a pretty low seat, so well see how that goes too. Ill update as we get further along.) As short of a period of time as weve had it, Im thrilled with the ease of acceptance of the seat and its really great to have the base/legs of the potty seat to act as handles. I also am so pleased that it fits into the diaper bag (inside its own bag, of course). It helps to keep in mind that pee is sterile, so I just rinse it in the sink and toss it into the bag until I can wash it at home. Id consider using it at home too, but am certain that wed forget it before leaving. EDIT: We finally used as it a free-standing seat today and it held up well to his 33 pounds. No collasping (thanks to the careful instructions in other reviews to ensure it snaps in before putting my son on it) and it went without incident. I just had him lean forwards a bit to ensure the stream went down instread of out.

> 3 dayI bought this so I could have a quick potty chair ready for my son who was learning to potty train. This seat has proven itself indispensable. It has worked amazing in the back of our Tahoe and mini-van for when those urgent needs arise and there is no bathroom in sight. The little bags that you use hold a lot of liquid and waste. My son is 4 years old and is 44 in. tall and weighs 36 lbs and he still uses it as a free-standing potty chair if needed when were on long road trips. We mostly use it now as a toilet ring to put on a standard toilet when using public restrooms or at someones house, as my son still doesnt like the size of the standard toilet opening. We just keep it folded up in the bag in which it came and carry it in his backpack. I absolutely love this thing and will be using it for my daughter as well. (I can also speak from experience that it does hold the weight of a 56, 130 lb woman...with absolutely no issues. It has been a life-saver!!!)

> 3 dayI bought this potty seat shortly after my daughter was potty trained in anticipation of the day she would have to use the bathroom while we were out and about somewhere. I have never used it as a stand alone travel potty with the liners, but just as a travel seat to use when not at home. I use it in conjunction with potty covers that I first line on the seat and then I put this on top of the potty cover to cover all contact surfaces. Having this potty seat gives me peace of mind. It does come with a carrying bag which is useful because it is the size of the seat and has a drawstring, but its just a thicker plastic bag and wont last forever. The only downfall for my purposes is that I always have to travel with some type of backpack to slip the seat and my covers in, although I usually dont leave home without an extra set of clothes for my daughter anyways in case of any mishaps, so it all works out.

> 3 dayMy daughter is on the petite side and she will not go potty on a public potty because she feels like she is going to fall in. However, she has no trouble going when we use the Potette Plus! We have taken it with us on every outing and on visits to the grandparents houses! We havent used it as a stand-alone but its been amazing helping her go on big potties away from home! Highly recommend it!! EDIT: We have been using this thing for nearly six months now and it has not once failed to fit a potty that weve put it on. And today was the first time I have had to use it as a stand-alone when the park restrooms were locked (UGH!!) and I had to rush to get it set up in the trunk of the SUV. It took me all of 20 seconds to set it up with some plastic grocery bags into a stand-alone potty and get my daughter on it. Thankful for the option that this can work with a toilet or without. Cant say enough good things about this!!

Greater than one weekWhen my wife bought this I thought it was a bit silly, but it has proved invaluable for a family on the move. First the toilet is very compact, easy to use, and amazingly been far less messy than potty time at home (go figure). We use a diaper in the catch and as soon as the boys complete their business we roll it up and dump it the same way wed change our toddlers diaper. Finally the fact that when the little ones tell us they have to go we save the hassle of looking for a bathroom, the unbuckling and dismount process, and that final 100 yard pee pee dance/run, not to mention not using public restrooms. Now on our road trips we just pull into the gas station, let the kids use this portable potette. No more using those dirty bathrooms, just using their trash bins. Highly recommend this product.
