This is one of those, why didn’t I think of that products for me. I have owned one since I started potty training my daughter 5 years ago. We travel quite frequently and usually on long haul flights. This potty has saved my life on many occasions as my daughter almost always needs to ore during descent after the bathrooms are closed. It saved my life while dune bashing in Qatar. There are no bathroom facilities in the desert so I took this potty with me. It fits into a medium sized handbag with ease. I also keep one in my car trunk since my daughter usually needs to pee urgently when we get to the car after pick up. I have also used it in fitting rooms while shopping in the mall ... I’m not giving up my shopping to locate any mall bathroom. My child is now 7 years old and luckily I decided to pack it in my hand luggage on a 16 hour flight because she decided she was claustrophobic when she saw the airplane bathroom. I think EVERY mom should own one of these.

Only been a few days, but we love this potty. Our daughter seemed to be having trouble going poo on the regular sized ikea potty chair we were using, so we were looking for a potty that sat lower to the ground so she could squat more, since she usually squats to poo. This potty was perfect, much smaller and lower than the regular potty, and we havent had any more poo accidents and she seems to have no trouble going on the potty anymore. She loves sitting on the potette with the silicone liner, much more comfortable than the hard plastic by itself on this potty or the other potty chair we have. We bought mostly for use at home, but its so much smaller than we expected that its so easy to take with us wherever we go. We bought the reusable liner to use with it at home and havent tried the bag liners yet.

This is a product that I really WANT to love. Its a great concept, and it has, in fact, proven useful for us. We keep it set up in the back of the SUV for the toddler that always needs to go potty five minutes into any car ride. Its very handy to be able to just pull over and let her climb in the back to pee. However, I do have some issues with the product: 1) Size: The Potette is quite small, and even with my smallish 2-eyar old, I have to position her very carefully and still have some occasional misses. I know the size needs to be small to be carried around. 2) Sturdiness: You have to make sure the legs are snapped in just right before a child can sit on it, or one or both legs will collapse while your child pees. Snapping them in can be difficult at times, especially when youre urgently trying to set it up to prevent an accident! Leaving it set up works fine for us, but on the occasion that we need to stow it away, getting the legs unsnapped and folded has been a pain. Ive had to pull them completely off and then re-snap them into the first hole. This makes it hard to be truly versatile and 2-in-1, at least while your kid is still in the urgent stage where they need the potty quickly. 3) Bags: Again, attaching the bags in a hurry is a bit annoying, but if you dont attach them just right they have a tendency to slip off while the child pees. The pad in the bottom isnt super large, so there still may be a bit of splash. You can use grocery store bags and a paper towel instead of buying expensive refills. Overall, the product is convenient if you leave it set up and use just as a potty, but otherwise the set up can take a little long for a small toddler to wait when they need to go quickly. If youre going to leave it set up anyway, a small one-piece potty is probably a sturdier option. This fits well in a small stroller basket or tote bag for shopping, if you do want to carry it around. I have not used it as a trainer seat, but it seems that it fits well on the toilet and gives the child a clean place to hold. You just then have to deal with folding and unfolding the legs.

We bought this for a hiking trip my husband and I will be taking with our 2 1/2 year old, whos been potty trained for about 10 months. Shes never had trouble holding it while weve been hiking before, but we wanted to comfortably hike longer distances (and at trails without bathroom facilities) without discomfort to her or anxiety about potential accidents. We tried it out this past weekend while we were doing a short hike, and it worked great. She peed without issue (we didnt even use a bag since we were outside), and the potty is small enough to unobtrusively carry in our hiking backpack/child carrier. The legs easily and sturdily click in place, so Im not sure where the review concerns about that are coming from. I feel much more at ease for our upcoming trip.

I have a 2 and half year old girl and this potty has done wonders! I am a stay home mom of two toddlers! My daughter just started potty training 4 weeks ago. She is a little scared of the adult size toilets so I bought this to help her. Since I am a stay home mo I am always running errands and this has worked on every potty out there. I am a freak about germs and this potty allows your Toddler to place their hands on their own potty and not the toilet itself. I am excited about our road trip because if we are at a gas station and its really dirty, all I have to do is use the stand and she can go potty in the bag. You dont need their special bags, just bring small grocery bags with no holes! There is no wrong way to place this product on the toilet. It fits perfect into a diaper bag or a really big purse. Totally worth it. Kalencom 2-in-1 Potette Plus

Seriously, whoever came up with this invention is even better than Henry Ford for inventing cars; hands-down this is the greatest purchase I have made for my 18mo daughter...and weve purchased a LOT! My daughter said potty? the other day while in public, and was terrified of me holding her over the big (nasty) public restroom potty and wouldnt go...so in the diaper it was, poor thing. So we purchased this potty on the suggestion of a fellow Mom. I was skeptical, as my daughter is used to a padded seat, that sits on our big toilet (weve gone that route and not a mini-potty...shes done amazing starting at about 16mos~) so I was a bit concerned on whether or not she would understand what this was (when used as a stand-alone potty on the floor/ground): it came in the mail, I opened it, popped out the legs and locked them in place (**you have to pull them out to standing position, then push them upwards into the seat until you hear them click**) and set it on the floor...she immediately exclaimed potty!!! and sat down to hang out. SUCCESS!! From here on out this new travel potty was my bff. I keep it in its plastic bag, in our diaper bag 24/7...it paid for itself twice already: having it at my parents house 3hrs away to pop the legs to the side and put on the big potty, when I didnt think to bring her usual potty seat, and again when we were on the beach and she said potty. I dont go anywhere without it, ever. It comes with plastic bags that will hook around it, that they pee/poo into when youer on the go, and inside is a little pad to soak it all up...dont waste your money on more of these specialty bags...use some plastic grocery store bags, and line them with the thick maxi pads...its the same exact thing, and a FRACTION of the cost since you can buy cheapo brand pads. Love this portable travel potty! We had just started potty training when we had dinner plans out for my husbands birthday. Along with this potty, I bought the Potette Plus liners and a package of Summer Infant Keep Me Clean disposable toilet seat covers (for public restroom toilets). The potty comes with a plastic drawstring bag and inside I have the potty, a liner, a disposable seat cover and sanitizing wipes. Went into the restaurant bathroom and put the toilet seat cover on the public toilet and put this potty seat on top (legs of potty laid out flat). He went like a pro! Folded the seat back up, wiped off with sanitizing wipes and put potty back in the bag and tossed the seat cover! No germs on the potty seat - so easy! Used the potty seat as its own seat one time with the potty liner attached and once theyre done, you just take the liner off, tie it up and toss it in the trash! I bought two potty seats; one for my vehicle and another for my husbands truck. By the way, Ive read some reviews where people say buying the Potette liners were a waste or arent necessary and to just use plastic grocery bags instead. Big risk. More often than not, my plastic grocery bags have rips and holes in them. If thats the chance you want to take! HIGHLY RECOMMEND all of these items!!

This thing is a lifesaver on road trips. My toddler was still in the midst of potty training and she had no issues using this. It converts to a little seat and you can just put a plastic bag insert in there (they sell ones with turtles on them that are great-motivated my girl to pee on the turtles). It also can be used on a regular toilet so a toddler can sit on it comfortable, 2 for 1! This thing is also DURABLE. We used it on a road trip and forgot it once during a stop. Turned around and found that it had been RUN OVER by a car. And you know what, it still works! Didnt get cracked at all and still using it to this day. Wonderful product!

I was looking for a portable potty that I could easily take with my when potty training my 2.5 year old daughter. A friend of mine had this potty (although the older version that doesnt sit on the toilet seat) and I thought it looked really handy. I searched the reviews online and they were mostly good so I bought it. It works really well for when you dont have quick access to a restroom as it turns into its own small potty, but also this version (the potette plus) has the additional feature that it can turn into a potty seat to put on the adult toilet too (the legs fold out to sit on top of the seat). I liked this feature especially as I planned to carry this around in my diaper bag to use when were out and we needed to use a a public restroom. It is a little large to fit inside my diaper bag, but it slides perfectly into an open side pocket so I carry it around that way. It has its own plastic carry pouch too, so that is a nice feature. For using it as its own travel potty, it has plastic bags with an absorbant pack in the bottom. They really do work well to soak up the pee so you arent carrying around a bag full of pee to the garbage. I havent used it this way as much as I was trying to save the bags for when they were really needed as they are more expensive, but a regular plastic bag could be used in a pinch. All in all I like the product very much and it is very convienent. I would buy it again.

Wow, I wish I would have ordered this sooner (before I started potty training). Its perfect for on the go and at home. I bought a really cute sesame street potty seat that sings from walmart, and over time it really started to smell. Even thought I was constantly cleaning it. Long story short we only use the potette now. The only issue I have had with it is sometimes when you are trying to collapse it from the standing potty position the legs pop off. Maybe its because I am in a hurry and trying to collapse it fast, but you can just pop them back into place. My son doesnt like going potty in the sack. So I am going to try getting on of the reusable liners. For now he uses the potty on the toilet or outside without a bag.
