> 3 dayI didnt really buy this as a travel potty, although I did buy some of the bag refills so I can take this to the park for emergencies. I bought this to use on public restroom toilets. Does fit in my small diaper bag, but is a tight fit with diapers inside (have a younger child still in diapers). Would fit easily if I didnt have to carry diapers for the other little one. Better to carry in medium or large diaper bag. Does come in its own plastic carry bag if you dont want to put in a diaper bag. So far it has fit fine on all public toilets weve used. I love the fact that my toddler can now hold onto the feet of this potty chair instead of the sides of the public toilet. Being that it is made for travel and to be compact it is small in the fact that if you have a little boy, you need to teach him to keep his legs together when sitting on this on a public toilet (if hes not peeing standing up yet). Overall, I like having this for sanitary purposes and for park emergencies.

> 3 dayWe were going on vacation a couple of years ago, right after potty training our son, and wanted to make sure we didnt have any accidents on the road. We were a little nervous, as the area we were going through had long spans of no services, and we (and he) werent comfortable having him make his own facility on the side of the road. My sister-in-law had one of these, and raved about how awesome it was, so we decided to get one. It has really saved us a few times! He ended up it on that trip 3 times, and weve used it as an emergency a few other times as well. I love the little plastic pouch it came with, as it fits the potty and the bags perfectly. I highly recommend getting the extra liners like the ones it comes with, as they are extremely absorbent and dont smell up the car (my son once used it before going into a dinosaur museum in 90 degree weather, and I forgot to grab it to throw away with us. When we came back out 3 hours later, we couldnt even tell!) Its a simple seat that can be placed on a toilet for potty training, or you can pop the legs down and its like a little chair. You have to have the liners to catch everything, but its the perfect size for potty training children, it folds up and down really easily, and stores really nicely (we keep it in our van under the passenger seat for easy access, just in case!) Weve absolutely loved this, and could be more happy with our purchase!

> 3 dayWe bought this for a recent trip to Wyoming, and couldnt be happier. There have been some very comprehensive reviews written before, so I wont bore you with all the details, but in summary, it is good quality, tough plastic, it folds down easily and is lightweight and pretty compact, our son likes sitting on it, and although the guard at the front isnt perfect, it is pretty good for stopping boy spills, and it can be used with any medium to large sized bag. We dont bother with the special refill bags - any grocery bag or small diaper trash bag will work, but we fold s piece of kitchen towel or toilet paper into the bottom to approximate the brand name refill bags. All in all I think this is an excellent product and worth the money. Its also a reasonable size, so should fit most kids through toilet training.

> 3 dayPotty training was a terrifying prospect for me, especially being out and about. At the same time, I didnt want to be stuck at home for weeks/months until my toddler was potty trained. We live quite far from town and that was another fear of mine. So I bought this more for the travel potty use than the trainer seat use. However, on our first excursion out with it, we used it both ways, and it is so useful! Its small enough that it fits easily in my 14x14 wet/dry bag, with extra liners, change of bottoms, wipes, and a cloth diaper for wiping up messes. Its really easy to whip out in the very short amount of time my daughter has between I have to pee!! and actually going. Like at least one other reviewer has said, its important to know that if youre going to use it as a potty, you need to kind of lock the legs into place by pushing them up into the seat part. Then, to fold back up, you just need to carefully pull the legs out one notch. To go from folded up to trainer seat, theres no locking into place necessary. The liners that come with it are really amazing. The absorbent pad holds most if not all of the pee my toddler releases at a time (it claims to hold 5oz) so Im not just carrying around a bag of liquid. At the same time, $10.xx for 30 liners (when my daughter, who is still in the early stages of potty training, can pee 5 times in just a few hours) can get costly. So weve found that the small plastic garbage bags (4 gallon) are much more cost effective. (Our grocery store has a generic pack of 30 for $1.67.) If Im really concerned about the bag of pee, I can throw some paper towels or even a cloth diaper in it. I still plan to buy the Potette Plus liners from time to time as a luxury item, or maybe if were going on a trip where we might not be able to dispose of the bags in a timely manner. =) Ive read that plastic shopping bags like from the grocery store would work well, and I could see that. But I dont know about you, but most of our plastic bags have holes in them, plus now more and more cities are going bag-less anyway, so its nice to know the small garbage bags work, too. Ive never tried any other 2-in-1 type travel potties like this, but Im very, very happy with my purchase.

> 3 dayWonderful product. Wish I had invented these. They work great and are so compact and easy to store. We have one in each car. We use ours mostly on camping trips. But, theyve also come in handy when we are on the road and one of the kids is screaming I have to go potty now. We dont have to search for a rest stop. We can just pull over in a safe spot and let them use the Potette. Both my kids, ages 4 years (37 pounds) and 7 years (54 pounds) can use this comfortably. I buy the companys liners because they fit well and dont leak. But, I know of some folks who use grocery bags, often doubling up to prevent leaks. Highly recommend!

Greater than one weekThis was a potty training piece of awesomeness. Flexible for traveling, and easy for our 20 month old to sit on. During her 3 day potty training weekend we kept this handy, carrying from room to room, for pit stops. It saved our floors from a lot of extra scrubbing. I call it our porta-potty as it goes everywhere with us for potty time emergencies (weve used it by the side of the road, in a park, in the back of our SUV...) and also as her toilet ring seat in public restrooms. It folds up and fits in its own carrying bag along with a spare set of training pants and small pack of flushable wipes. That kit in turn fits in my tote bag or beneath the stroller. Regular grocery bags work fine, just make sure they dont have any little holes in them!

Momma Red
> 3 dayHighly recommend this product! We own two and have been gifting them to family and friends after such a great experience. This potty has saved my entire familys sanity. Mom and dad each have one for their cars/day trips. Great price and quality. I felt like a shut-in with potty training before having this, since many parks, hiking areas and picnic sites we frequent dont have potties nearby or are only open part of the summer. It has been great for initial potty training when your child cant anticipate accidents well, but can maybe stop the stream briefly to finish up on the potty emergently. It sets up in 2 seconds. Stores completely flat for storage under stroller, or even in a back pack or diaper bag. I was worried that it might be too low to the ground for my daughters liking, but no complaints, perfectly stable as long as you lock/click it into place. Daughter also uses this on public potties so I dont have to worry about her touching the seat or holding her up. The handles are sturdy for her to hold on to. This product is better than any other ring or potty seat on the market from my point of view and the fact that it fits regular and long elongated bowls makes it so useful/versatile. We have traveled with it in airports, camping, works perfect to have a potty up north in rural areas or at friends houses that dont have kids equipment where your child might be staying with. Consider buying the accessory liner for it- we absolutely love it. Prefer using the liner with this product over the bags but both are good in a pinch.

> 3 dayOnce my son was potty trained in the house and we started to go on outings without pull-ups, I knew we were going to need to have an easy-access potty in the car I actually traveled with the bijorn potty a few times (not a great idea.) One day I saw a mom friend pull out a Potette for her daughter during a stroller workout at the park. It was so compact and easy, I knew I had to get one. So far it hasnt failed me (except the first time I used it without reading the instructions first and didnt click the legs in place and it collapsed as soon as my son sat on it. Whoops...user error...) Weve used this for long road trips, birthday parties hosted at parks where the bathrooms were far away or just plain filthy dirty, going on a hike, and at the beach. It lives in our car, tucked in its baggy, and behind a box of Kleenex. I seriously dont know why anyone with young children wouldnt have one of these! ***Seems like a lot of the negative reviews are from those who failed to lock the legs into the seat. This takes a little finesse: You need quite a bit of pressure to pop the legs in, and just the right amount of pressure to unlock and fold back in. If you pull too hard, the legs just come detached. Best advice is to practice set-up and take-down a few times before needing to use it.***

> 3 dayI purchased this after my 3yo complained that the quad-fold travel seat felt like a crab is pinching [her] bottom. Im really impressed with how sturdy and nonslip the seat is on a public restroom toilet. Ive used it also as an emergency potty with one of the bags underneath. I thought the pad inside would hold more urine than it does, but really it ended up being a hot bag of pee. For emergency potty use, Im instead using old plastic grocery bags with extra diapers shes outgrown inside to soak up anything. But all in all, a really great, sturdy solution for going in public with your newly potty-trained kid. It fits easily in her diaper bag and comes with its own carrying case.

> 3 daySeriously, whoever came up with this invention is even better than Henry Ford for inventing cars; hands-down this is the greatest purchase I have made for my 18mo daughter...and weve purchased a LOT! My daughter said potty? the other day while in public, and was terrified of me holding her over the big (nasty) public restroom potty and wouldnt go...so in the diaper it was, poor thing. So we purchased this potty on the suggestion of a fellow Mom. I was skeptical, as my daughter is used to a padded seat, that sits on our big toilet (weve gone that route and not a mini-potty...shes done amazing starting at about 16mos~) so I was a bit concerned on whether or not she would understand what this was (when used as a stand-alone potty on the floor/ground): it came in the mail, I opened it, popped out the legs and locked them in place (**you have to pull them out to standing position, then push them upwards into the seat until you hear them click**) and set it on the floor...she immediately exclaimed potty!!! and sat down to hang out. SUCCESS!! From here on out this new travel potty was my bff. I keep it in its plastic bag, in our diaper bag 24/7...it paid for itself twice already: having it at my parents house 3hrs away to pop the legs to the side and put on the big potty, when I didnt think to bring her usual potty seat, and again when we were on the beach and she said potty. I dont go anywhere without it, ever. It comes with plastic bags that will hook around it, that they pee/poo into when youer on the go, and inside is a little pad to soak it all up...dont waste your money on more of these specialty bags...use some plastic grocery store bags, and line them with the thick maxi pads...its the same exact thing, and a FRACTION of the cost since you can buy cheapo brand pads. BUY THIS ITEM!!!!
