    Greater than one week

Other moms recommended this seat to me and Im forever grateful that they did. This little seat has saved us time and again. It has travelled through England and Wales. Attended festivals, fireworks, and parties. Done its duty at the beach, in the car, on the plane, in public restrooms, in private restrooms, at the pool, at the playground, at the Botanical Gardens... you name it. The ease with which you can use it either as a stand alone potty or as a toddler seat on regular toilets is great. There have been countless times that we have had to use it pronto and pulled it out/set it up/packed it back up and got back rolling in record time. Our son is 3 years old and big for his age (42 lbs & 41 inches tall). It is a short little seat but he has no problems with it. He fits fine and it holds his weight easily. I wouldnt use it as his at home option because it wasnt built for that kind of use and it isnt as comfortable as the Bjorn, for instance, but it is great when we are on the go. He knows he has to hold himself down to avoid spills so we are not bothered by the fact that there is not a big cover for little boys. Our biggest challenge with the seat? We have tried using plastic grocery bags with outgrown extra diapers used as the absorbent instead of the Potette liners - we wont be doing that anymore. If you miss seeing the hole in the bag then everything leaks. We found out the hard way several times now so we are going back to the Potette liners. Otherwise it works like a charm. It is small enough that it fits in a backpack/diaper bag/large purse. Im the mom that magically pulls the potty out of her purse at soccer in the public park when one of the kiddos needs to go right now, the public toilet is too far and people frown on just going in the grass. (Although most of the moms now have this seat too. We are all packing Potettes. Haha.) It has truly helped our little guy with his potty training and helps me avoid all of the extra wash associated with all of the accidents that would have happened if we didnt have this little wonder. Tips: 1. Lock the legs in place when using it as a stand alone seat or it wont be sturdy. When locked in properly the seat is very solid/sturdy. 2. Set the seat up in the car before you go on long drives/trips. It helps to have it already set up before you pull over to have the little ones use the seat. 3. We see the Summer Infant Keep Me Clean Disposable Potty covers for public toilets. They definitely help with the ick factor by protecting both your child and the Potette from coming in contact with any part of the public seat. 4. It is small enough to keep with you... so just take it with you. Easy peasey. My family has always teased me for grabbing it when we go out but they always are grateful I have it is the end!

So, I have purchased three of these since I misplaced two of them through the course of moving states and generally getting out with my kids. This is a fabulous product (hence the repurchase). This travel potty has fit any seat in any bathroom that Ive taken my kids into. It works with boys and girls and has no forward and backwards so you dont have to worry about orientation, really. The sides either fold out to be used on a toilet and act as handles for the kiddos or they stand and click in place so the seat can be used as a stand alone potty. Its easy to fold out and is very stable on the toilets Ive used so that the kids dont slide around. That is very important for the kids to be comfortable enough to go in a strange bathroom. I cant tell you the number of times Ive used this in a parking lot, park, or by the side of the road on a road trip. The handles even have a grippy, rubbery part that makes it stable when used as a stand-alone potty. It works great. The kids like the colors and they seem comfortable on it for a reasonable amount of time given that it is hard plastic. My kids have sat on it for 30 minutes sometimes, when needed. Its also easy to clean. I usually just rinse it off when I can and occasionally soap it down. The seat also comes with a fairly sturdy carry plastic bag with draw string and a few bags that can go over the potty and catch whatever the kids have coming for easy disposal afterwards. If you run out of those, you can use standard grocery plastic bags. Very good design, I think. Frankly, I mostly just put the potty seat on the grass or curb and make sure that the feet are uphill of the stream. The seat is fairly thick but I never had a lot of trouble stashing it in my diaper bag. I just have to clean out a few things first. The only problem with this potty seat is that it doesnt have a homing device so that I can locate my first two potty seats. Seriously, Id pay for that app. Happy Pottying!

When I started potty training my son I was looking for disposable potty seat covers to keep in the diaper bag. Luckily, I stumbled upon this seat before I wasted my money on those. I cannot say enough good things about this seat and I recommend it to all of my friends potty training their kids. It folds up nicely and fits well in all of my diaper bags. Im not saying its tiny. In fact, I actually thought it was going to be smaller. I now appreciate its size, though, because the seat itself doesnt have to fold so there are no seams to pinch his bottom. Some reviewers have said its too small, but my 2 1/2 year old son is 33 pounds and fits just fine. Ive used the seat both ways and its great! We used it as its own seat on the beach and at the pool both with the bags it comes with and with a grocery bag. Both ways work great. I keep Clorox wipes in the bag that comes with it to wipe the seat down when hes done. Its quick and easy! Its also extremely sturdy. I have no doubt that it will last for my second son. We dont leave home without this seat. It makes my son much more comfortable going potty when were out and I dont have to hold him on!

This is an ingenious little travel potty that can be converted from a freestanding potty, to a seat for a regular toilet. It is a little tricky to get the legs to flip up or down, but once you get it, it isnt hard. As a potty seat on a toilet, it doesnt work very well because it slips around too much for the child to feel secure. It is a great size for travel, though, because its nice and small. The travel bag is just a heavy duty plastic drawstring bag, though. It is hard to get the liners to stay in place, and they dont seem very absorbent for large amounts of urine. The liners are sold separately, but you could probably take a regular plastic shopping bag, put some absorbent material in it and use that instead.

I have a 2 and half year old girl and this potty has done wonders! I am a stay home mom of two toddlers! My daughter just started potty training 4 weeks ago. She is a little scared of the adult size toilets so I bought this to help her. Since I am a stay home mo I am always running errands and this has worked on every potty out there. I am a freak about germs and this potty allows your Toddler to place their hands on their own potty and not the toilet itself. I am excited about our road trip because if we are at a gas station and its really dirty, all I have to do is use the stand and she can go potty in the bag. You dont need their special bags, just bring small grocery bags with no holes! There is no wrong way to place this product on the toilet. It fits perfect into a diaper bag or a really big purse. Totally worth it. Kalencom 2-in-1 Potette Plus

Awesome product. I travel a fair amount and didnt want to delay or jeopardize potty training my toddler because of my fear of getting stuck somewhere without a toilet. I used this mostly on top of public toilets for the first few months - and it was GREAT for that. It reduced the anxiety of my little one trying to go in strange places, especially when he had to sit for a while to, ahem, produce. We used it on airplane toilets, you name it. Then one day we were about to get on a subway train in NYC and he announced that he had to go pee... I pulled out the Potette, had it set up in seconds, and he was able to sit and pee in comfort (if not privacy!). You really do have to push the legs hard to snap them into place so it is sturdy - but if you do that, it is strong enough to hold my 35lb little guy without a problem. I also love that this is super small, lightweight, and easy to carry around. Cant say enough good things.

This little potty has been perfect. It folds up really small and fits in our medium-sized diaper bag. We keep it under the car seat for emergencies, and weve taken it several places with us. Unfortunately, parks and other places dont always have bathrooms. Weve been potty training for about a month, and it has been crucial to have a potty on hand at all times. Little ones cant always wait, nor do they give you much warning sometimes! My daughter thinks it is so much fun to go on her little potty. She also likes to unfold the legs to set it up. She really loves it. We bought a couple of packages of the refill bags, but they were pretty pricey. They work fine, but arent really worth the price, so I think Ill try the suggestion from some of the other reviewers and just use a shopping bag with paper towels when we run out. Overall, its sturdy, well-designed, and works great. I definitely recommend it! It doesnt cost much, and youll appreciate the peace of mind.

This tiny little potty is a life (carseat saver)! I actually have purchased two of these. The first was sent to the grandparents house so wed have a kid-friendly for when wed visit. The second I bought for us to keep in my car (after using the first while visiting family out of town) for potty breaks. I dont like public restrooms (who does really?!), so my fear was amplified once we tossed the diapers to the wind and entered the world of toddlers using the potty. I keep this tiny potty at the ready with the handy liner bags (you get like three bags to start with) you purchase more separately. When we have long days (grocery, errands, shopping, etc..) this potty does the job! You just sit their tiny bums on there, then tie up the bag after, and toss in the nearest trash can. Easy as pie and no nasty public potties to instill fear of them touching everything in sight.

This is THE BEST purchase I have made in regards to potty training! My son was 20 months old when I purchased it and still loves it 2 months later, calling it his lady bug potty, because thats what he thought it was when he first saw it! I have not used the liners yet, but here are the ways I have used it and the features I liked: Works well in a public restroom. It does sit back towards the middle of the seat, so his ankles do touch the front of the seat unless I hold them up. It still is much more sanitary than just a paper liner or trying to hold him over the seat. It works well outside! I know I have a boy, but he does not yet have any concept of standing to void. I can set this outside towards the edge of the yard and it makes potty breaks during outside play a breeze! (We live in a very wooded area). Is great for when we are at grandparents--since this stores easily in his diaper bag, we dont have to try to always remember his potty seat from home. I thought the small pee guard would be a problem; however it has not been at all. I hold my sons knees together and he has never made a fountain over the top. Now he even holds his legs together on his own. My only annoyance is, when snapping the legs out of the sitting position, unless you do it very carefully, they snap out completely. It took a couple of tries to get it right...

Works great! This portable potty is so easy to use. At first I was hesitant on buying it because I figured I could get away with a small toilet seat cover, but weve already used it twice while out at the park. When out at a restaurant or shopping, this fits on every toilet Ive used and my daughter just hops right on and does her business. Its also helpful to use while training so when you are out, your child is already familiar with this seat so theres no additional fear of going pee away from home. The bags make clean up so simple. I would definitely recommend.
