Greater than one weekThis is some really clean flowing solder. Ive been doing microminiature electronics work for several years and have a few schools under my belt to prove it, but this solder has to be the cleanest flowing solder I have ever had the pleasure of using. It helps to make quick work of solder joints so you should not have to spend too much time applying heat to high traffic areas. I believe this solder would definitely lessen your chances of measling the circuit board or damaging any non-metallic shielding.

> 3 dayLoved the small diameter for small components and quick melting point, have been soldering since 1964,this is the best yet.

Greater than one weekThis stuff was so difficult to use, I dont think mine had any flux in there. Would only clump up trying to use it.

> 3 dayI have different spools of solder (leaded, unleaded, etc.) for different uses. Kester really blew it on the packaging. for this solder. Rather than an box with a top and a bottom, the spool is in a topless cardboard hexagon container. There is strapping tape over the top, holding the spool in. Unfortunately, the tape adhered onto the only label on the spool—so you cant remove the strapping tape without ruining the label. Ditch the topless cardboard hexagon container and simply wrap a plastic label around the solder to hold it on the spool. Shrink wrapping the entire spool might be a viable solution as well. Either will leave the label intact.

> 3 dayDont get the cheap stuff. This spool is very high quality and easier to use than the cheaper solders and the joints also come out shinier.

> 3 dayI had never used 63/37 solder before. I always bought normal brand 60/40 rolls. This solder takes me to a whole new level. It melts at a lower temperature. It is very thin and thus more suited to the precise joining jobs that new electronics require. I had to practice before I could reliably control this thin stuff, but my effort was rewarded. It is more expensive than the normal solder, but worth it to me.
