Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

My HDD in my ps3 was failing and I needed a cheap and reliable replacement. This was perfect and it greatly exceeds the speed of the HDD I had in there.

Dramatically increased the speed of my HP EliteDesk! Used to partition hard drives on Macs so was a bit of a learning curve to do it in Windows 10. Used EaseUS ToDo cloning tool to copy slow mechanical HDD to SSD. Recommend backing up to external HD or cloud before you do this. Switch over the Boot Drive in Bios and boom system speed increased dramatically. Im happy I finally did this. Plus I get to use the old disk as a misc storage drive now.

Bought this just to run my Win10 and a couple small games I play frequently. Just did a fresh install of Win10 no issues with the install or my BIOS recognizing it. Worked well was getting around 400GB/s read and 300Gb/s write for about 6 weeks then started to have issues where the computer would become unresponsive for 2-3 minutes, this problem will happen once every 3 hours sometimes twice an hour. Ran Crystal Benchmark then right after my computer became unresponsive and I was getting 150kb/s read and write. The drive wasnt overheating tried other SATA cables the unresponsiveness kept happening RAM,CPU, and GPU were operating fine. Swapped back to my old HDD and no issues since. Buying a new SSD but going with a different brand.

It worked out of the box without any problems and additional settings. Windows was installed instantly.
