Super easy to install. The only issue I had was, my PC wasnt detecting the new drive; watched a few youtube videos and had it running in no time. I installed it into my Acer Nitro 5. Its cheaper than alternative options and functions the same. I play BFV and ANTHEM off of this SSD and load times are fantastic compared to my HHD.

Solid, economical SSD. I now own several of these, and theyre handy as a quick performance upgrade for older devices. Ive used them with both legacy BIOS and UEFI motherboards, and they work perfectly for both OS installations and modern games. I now consider this necessary at minimum for Windows 10 or modern GUI-intensive Linux distros, and a breath of fresh air for an older Windows 7 or Linux installation.

Good change to upgrade performance in older computer or newer with HDD.

I have used several different SSD drives in the past and this one is the slowest I have ever installed, only improving performance minimally, about (20%) over the Toshiba Mechanical Drive, but the install went flawlessly on my 2012 Gateway Laptop Model NV56R06u. I cloned the Toshiba 480gb OEM Mechanical Drive to the Kingston 480gb SSD using the FREE Standard Version of “AOMEI Backupper” and a SATA to USB Cable. That aspect worked great and there are plenty of videos to show you how to do it if you are uncomfortable Cloning your old drive. I would defiantly advise to spend a little more money and get a faster red and write SSD.

Lets be honest, this isnt the best SSD out there, but it is a good value and an inexpensive way to boost performance of an aging machine.

Got this for my budget build just to load up the OS. Loads way faster than a mechanical hd.

Used to replace in ~2015 HP Envy laptop. I primarily used it for course work in college and light gaming. Works great. As someone who isnt super computer literate the process of installing was very easy and direct. My computer now boots up faster than ever.

Its a great and easy way to speed up an old computer system for minimal cost.

Incredible speeds plus rock-solid reliability - Kingston"s A400 solid-state drive dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system with incredible boot, loading and file transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. Powered by a latest Gen controller for read and write speeds up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s, this SSD is 10x faster than a traditional hard drive for higher performance, ultra-responsive multi-tasking and an overall faster system. Also more reliable and durable than a hard drive, A400 is built with Flash memory. There are no moving parts, making it less likely to fail than a mechanical hard drive. It"s also cooler and quieter, and its shock and vibration resistance makes it ideal for notebooks and other mobile computing devices. A400 is available in multiple capacities from 120GB-480GB to give you all the space you need for applications, videos, photos and other important documents. You can also replace your hard drive or a smaller SSD with a drive big enough to hold all your files. Backwards compatibility to SATA Rev. 2.0 (3Gb/s).
