Greater than one weekThis is very nice. I like it a lot. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes it does clog on its own while doing dishes. But it is a very sturdy drain and looks very nice. I definitely would recommend it.

> 3 dayThis thing weighs a ton. I was having a leaking issue with the strainer baskets that were included with the Kohler all-in-one sink/faucet kit I got from the local warehouse club. Installing this thing fixed it, but I have a sneaking suspicion its the rubber washer that came with this strainer basket that fixed the issue and not the basket itself. Kohler got my money going both ways, so good for them, but if youre replacing your strainer basket for the same reason I did try getting a rubber washer first and save the money. This thing is well made but it seems like overkill. None of the other kitchen sinks Ive installed had this issue and Ive used the baskets that were included with the kits. The one thing that might make this worth the money? Ditching the lock ring that needs a special tool youll only use once every 10 years! Screwing in three bolts was crazy simple and it was easy to center the strainer. We got ours used from warehouse deals. It was marked good but it was actually good as new and cost a 1/3rd of the new price. Good luck!

> 3 dayIm so happy that this version is USA made. The one that Home Depot and Lowes sell is the China version. And you can tell the quality difference. PLEASE KOHLER YOU ARE A USA COMPANY KEEP YOUR MANUFACTURING IN THE US!!!

Greater than one weekI actually ordered two versions of this part and returned one. The oil-rubbed bronze version was much lighter and made in China. The basket appeared to be made of stainless sheet metal, while the oil-rubbed bronze parts were made of brass. Because the color was close to black, I decided to order the brushed nickel part for installation. The basket of this part was made of nickel-plated cast brass in the USA. The brushed nickel finish on the strainer is over brass. The cast metal basket of the second, nickel-plated part is much heavier. Some reviews mentioned that this is over-engineered, but I appreciated the retro quality. This basket will likely last a while, and if the brushed nickel parts wear or corrode, the screws make it easier to replace. Be wary of the origin of the part. Both have decent quality but only the US made part is worth the price.

> 3 dayIt keeps falling apart. The screw that holds it together comes loose. Very unhappy with this Kohler quality

Greater than one weekStainless strainer is expensive, but the only way to go. This one is nice and heavy duty. I doubt if I will ever have to replace it.

> 3 dayI bought this thinking the price would indicate the quality, and I was right. This stainless steel drain is much more heavy duty than the plated one I replaced; it’ll probably outlive my house.
