> 3 dayYou never have to lift it out of your sink except to throw out what its caught. Its the best sink strainer Ive ever owned.

> 3 dayThe strainer itself looks good. The Basket/Stopper does not seal and water leaks from sink. Seems like a very poor design on the stopper. There is nothing to guide the stopper squarely into the seating area and water leaks past the o-ring. Hole in basket has too much clearance and the stopper is not guided squarely into the seat. Very disappointed in this item. I have returned this item and Amazon gave me a full refund.

> 3 dayMy husband and I bought this strainer for our kitchen in summer 2008. We bought it mostly for the brushed nickel finish that would match our other kitchen hardware. Right from the start there were problems. The black rubber rings that are supposed stop the water from draining out of the sink would pop off all the time. I would fill the sink with soapy water and a few minutes later it would be drained. I would try to re-adjust the strainers so that they would hold water. Sometimes I could get it to hold water but often they wouldnt. We paid just under $50 a piece for two strainers and it was by far the worst money we spent renovating our entire kitchen. The product has a one year warranty. We didnt take advantage of it in time so the company graciously sent us two new rubber rings.

> 3 dayThe sink strainer was well made and looked very nice once installed. Two things. You need some plumbers putty and dont throw away the old lock nut on the tail piece. The new lock nut was too short and with the new washer (included) I couldnt get the threads started. It was 1/8 shorter than the old one. So I cleaned off the old one and it threaded on just fine. It was very frustrating thinking that the new one should work. They cheapened it by just a little and I wasnt in a good mood when I was done.
