Ive been wanting an ultrawide for a while but they all come with compromises so I hadnt brought myself to pulling the trigger... For example, this monitor is G-Sync Compatible which means it doesnt have an official Nvidia G-Sync module. Getting a monitor with the module is like an extra $400 (bleh). This monitor had such good reviews and ticked all the other boxes (despite still being expensive) so I picked it up. Im really glad I did. Its quite the upgrade from my old 27, 1440p TN panel. Im not one to nitpick over details like some of the other reviewers claiming that the HDR isnt great. To me, it looks fantastic and is plenty bright enough (I have the brightness at 50% in my dark office). Some useful info for those of you who may be looking at this thing: - The USB ports require a USB 3.0 Type B cable which isnt provided. Be sure to pick one up on Amazon (I ordered one for ten bucks). - Im using a Wali heavy duty monitor stand (also from Amazon) to support it. It works fantastic. - The backlight is a Govee H6102 (also from Amazon). - My rig is a a i5-9600k @ 4.9Ghz with a RTX 2080 (stock overclock). Red Dead @ Ultra averages at 51 fps! Will have to upgrade my gpu when prices come down! :P

I used to run with a 3 monitor configuration for a while, 2 horizontal 1 vertical. But this has changed my work / play life. Ample space, Crisp Images, Sexy as hell on my desk. Its big af make sure you have a large desk. Easy Easy to built. Make sure your video card supports the resolution and hz. LG for sure kicked ass with this one. If you dont have the cash get in debt, it will be the best investment ever. Perfect for designers, coders, gamers.

2k Resolution with curvy goodness and a little bit of love, this monitor brings out the immersion with its encapsulating curved monitor, it really does change the way you see your games, almost like a movie screen. Id recommend, though if you want duel or even triple monitor setup, youll need a beefy monitor mount arm, the default stand can be limiting, especially with how far out the stand sticks out to counter balance. Mostly the front legs would get in the way of keyboard placement, depending on how close you want the monitor, I have bad eyesight which compelled me to get a monitor arm. This products shipping was kinda up in the air, I was only told vaguely between three days thatd Id receive it, but it got delayed an extra five days but came one day after the original expected date. Besides that weirdness, would recommend!

The monitor itself is light for the size in my opinion. I did a desk mount VESA arm and freed the mess of wires under and around the stand. It makes for a cleaner desk and easier access to my 4K HDMI KVM switch. Some issues with resolution settings and mouse control switch between my Crosshair VIII DARK HERO and the other systems. I need to switch the monitor to the display port in order to run full resolution from the DARK HERO and back to HDMI for the other systems in order to keep keyboard and mouse control. Thats not a show stopper though and I halfway expected it. Some minor shadowing near the frame but no bad pixels and great image quality out of the box. I recommend this product.

TLDR: Love it IQ is amazing (Coming from an Acer Predator which some would argue has one of the better IPS panels available) hoping 21:9 becomes more widely accepted in games. I came form 2 27 monitors and def. prefer this. Wish USB Hub was on the side NOT the back but otherwise very happy with this purchase. Also wish this has at least a built in speaker but thats just a nitpick at this point. If you are looking at this monitor as a potential purchase, just do it and if you are on the fence about curved monitors hop off the fence and join in, I think it actually adds to immersion plus can save some space. Coming from a 27 Acer Predator XB271HU IPS monitor I was worried because I always thought the predator had one of the best looking IPS panels Ive seen and this is my first curved monitor. Image: For Gaming: Awesome Image Quality and color representation and contrast however be prepared for a lot of games not FULLY supporting 21:9. Most game menus and or cinematics will play with black boxes on the sides but this hopefully will change as this aspect ratio becomes more prevalent. Lastly even without overclocking this screen I have no ghosting. For Movies/Video: Again same issue as most content providers like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. dont natively support 21:9 so you will have some black bars however you can use some browser addons such as Ultrawidify which will stretch the image to fit without cropping and to me it does not look bad.. HDR: Meh Windows HDR sucks, some games suppport it but most of the time with a few exceptions its not worth it and looks better without it turned on Build: I love the look and build quality looks solid but I gotta say the stand it comes with kinda sucks I thought the predator stand was much nicer. Up/Down Tilt Down (A little) Tilt Up (A Lot) it seems to tilt up a LOT further than it will tilt down which kind of sucks because it is sitting on a table higher than my but no biggie. Lastly and most importantly the USB hub on this doesnt seem very well thought out at least to me. I preferred my predator where it had the USB hub inputs on the left side. This monitor they are located on the back right by the video inputs and its much more of a hassle to quickly plug in/out something.

Wanted this for a couple years but didnt want to pay $800+. Snagged this for $599 on the Amazon sale recently and am very happy. Have owned a few other ips 165hz monitors and the colors on this one are great out of the box thankfully, dont like messing with settings too much. 160hz overclock works fine, leave it in the fast response setting. Havent tried HDR so cant comment. Great if you prefer colors that pop over contrast ratio. No dead pixels and your usual ips glow but this one is the best out of my other monitors. Once again from LG the provided DP cable is about 4 feet so if your computer isnt next to the monitor, consider buying a longer one. I bought one from Ivanky. I have the 32GN850 and I could never get the colors right but this ultrawide is good. I have a 3080 and havent noticed much dip in performance from my 32 and 27 inch 1440. Height adjustable and tilt, thats it. Was on the fence for a long time but glad I made the purchase

I read a lot of reviews and a lot of people said the bottom row of pixels are dead. Theyre not. Move your head down to eye level at that row. Theyre there. The issue is the viewing angles on this monitor. But theyre there. You can still see it at a normal seated level but its dim. Either way, I prefer this to my previous Samsung Odyssey gaming monitor. I have observed 0 pixel smear. I truly believe the Samsung brand upcharge is purely so they can market an inferior product.
