> 24 hourThis gesso has a nice creamy consistency and good coverage. From now on, this is what I will buy for my primer and mixed media projects.

> 24 hourThis works great as a primer for my paintings! Ive used it on a piece of styrofoam that we use to insulate our fireplace, I painted a fire scene on it and it made for an excellent base! I also use this on cheaper canvases that tend to soak in more paint, thus taking much more time to paint on and it really makes a difference. I found that using a sponge works the best to apply it, I just wet the sponge and dab into the gesso and apply and it goes on very nicely!

> 24 hourTook quite a few coats to smooth out, thinner than I thought it would be. But I made it work...

> 24 hourI wanted to paint three rather nicely designed cardboard contains with lids for storage. The containers were thick cardboard and had magic marker written all over them. This gesso I painted on with a brush, giving a couple coats over heavily marked up areas, allowed to thoroughly dry, then spray painted with acrylic paint. End result was perfectly painted containers. I allowed to thoroughly dry in garage for 3 days before bringing inside, so all smell was gone.

> 24 hourThis is Total Garbage, a$5.00 can of Spray Paint works MUCH better. NOTHING is WORSE then this It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a smooth finish. It is so thick that it leaves ridges that must be sanded, A LOT. It might be worth the effort IF it covered in one or two coats. I am covering a red and white box so I can paint it a different color and want the new color to be even. This will not cover. After two coats waiting 24 hours and not sanding between coats, I can still read the fine print (red on white) on the box and the red pictures are still very visible. A bottle of 10 cent childrens water color paint would cover better in ONE coat. NEVER USE this if you want to end up with a smooth high gloss finish. After and hour of sanding trying to get this smooth and removing most it, it looked smooth and felt smooth...... BUT after priming with a Rust-Oleum gloss white paint & primer I can still see the ridges. Good thing this was a test piece. Now I know - NEVER use this on anything that you want to have a quality finish

> 24 hourI love this product. I am painting on glass bottles with acrylics, so I was afraid they wouldnt be opaque with out many many layers. So I decided to invest in this to save paint, and to create some texture. It didnt provide as much texture as desired, but I also didnt try to do a second coat. Overall, I love this product, and I will buy again when I run out. And probably in a larger container. I can also take a whack at making my own canvases! So excited.
