Great base helps bring out my colors also drys pretty quick so you can get to creating .

Opened the box to see gesso had spilled outside of container. Unfortunately i am in a time crunch and this is needed asap so am unable to return it and wait for a replacement

When I think of gesso I think of a thick coverage. This needs up to 3 coats to cover. Positive you can add acrylic paint to it to help with coverage.

I had this bottle of gesso sitting on the table right near my bottled water. I was watching a horror movie and couldnt take my eyes off the screen. I bet you can see where this is going. I took a big sip of water but ended up with a mouthfull of gesso instead. I can only say it does NOT taste as great as it works. I used it as glue, primer, and sealer all with perfect results. I ordered a gallon already. I will always have gesso standing by, but not as a thirst quencher.

My item was packaged well and Item came sealed.

It works fine but my only problem is that it dries matte and I dont like the feeling of the texture it leaves. But if youre going to paint over it anyways then its really not an issue. For me though I do art journaling and have to touch the paper a lot so thats my only issue. Other than that it does what its supposed to do.

I not only use it for my first layer in an acrylic painting or to cover something I don’t like, but I sometimes use it instead of white paint. Good product.
