Liquitex BASICS Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 473ml (16-oz) Bottle, White

This is a decent quality gesso. Only need one coat, which is great. Arrived packaged well, and when expected.

always used liquitex for the last 40 years . Sands beautifully as gives even 3coat pro canvas a perfect work surface.

This gesso has a nice creamy consistency and good coverage. From now on, this is what I will buy for my primer and mixed media projects.

Have bought this product before in smaller size and liked it so thought I would buy in a gallon size because I do a lot of painting. But how are you suppose to take the top off? I would Not buy this in the gallon size again!

Great product! This gesso was fully opaque after one coat, and was perfect for creating a base on fabric. After the product dries (about 4 hours) , it creates a slightly hard surface that you are able to sketch and erase on. The fabric I used this on was thin denim. I would assume that this product would not be ideal for super thin or stretchy fabrics because the product would crack with the fabrics flexibility. Very satisfied!
