Liquitex is my go-to brand for gesso. Its super opaque by itself and can be mixed with a little water to stretch it. Will definitely buy again.

Just the right consistency for so many projects.

Flows nice, no chunks or anything unwanted.

Prior to purchasing this I read the reviews. I have to say I was disappointed as when I opened the container the foil seal was already off and the medium appears dried up. I tried to use a little and it was horrible to say the least. It was just like the old glue paste from schools! Very difficult to spread, lumpy and did not cover at all.

Use it all the time but it is very light, so u might want to go two three layers if u use it over a painting.

Excellent! Kept wood from absorbing so much paint. Highly recommended

NOT recommended. Very gritty texture to this product. Goes on white, dries clear; absolutely requires sanding due to grit. No longer clear after sanding...more like powdery white cloudy instead of clear after sanding. Did a test of white gesso to compare on same substraight. White gesso was smooth and had no gritty feel. So definitely not smooth or paintable.

I like it a lot better than Kitz. It dry faster and cover better. you dont have to sand after applying.
