Liquitex Professional Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 237ml (8-oz), Black

As Gesso go it does prime the canvas BUT, IT IS NOT CLEAR WHEN DRY. It creates a milky over cast if you us it to seal your painting. I should have read move of the 1 and 2 ratings. I just bought the small bottle to experiment and know I know for sure

Apply it to a blank canvas as a prep or use it in acrylic paint as a tint. Many different uses. Use your imagination!

A little expensive, but good stuff!

A long time favorite among artists to prep surfaces. I always make sure I dont run out.

A little thinner than expected, but works adequately!

I purchased this via a blog recommendation for priming silicone molds for acrylic paints. I had better luck simply using the paint alone than coating with this 1st. This layer would actually randomly peel off, along with any paint, making it completely useless. It beads up, puddles & if too much time is spent spreading it about,it will peel off. Its worse than using the acrylic paint alone..
