I didnt exactly follow the directions. I just dived in and it went good! After my project was done I noticed it said it needed 24hrs to dry before working on the surface. So it would have been more easier had I waited a day. Good purchase and I still had a lot left over after painting a cape and shorts.

It does a beautiful job of priming canvases.

If youre preparing canvas or primed wood and Masonite panels for painting with oils or polymer paints such as Golden or Liquitex brands this is the Gesso to use. It has excellent tooth.

Haven’t painted for a while and this was recommended by a painting tips video on YouTube. Product was just what I was looking for, gives the paint something more to grab onto.

Artists use gesso all the time to prepare painting surfaces, over many years I’ve used gallons of acrylic gesso in clear, white, and black. This gesso dries milky, not clear. Cannot recommend.
