Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

I bought this for my rats to hide and the two pieces don’t even fit together. I’m hanging up the large piece without the dome but sad it didn’t work out

My rats love using this, I was worried because some of them are very distructive and love to chew up things but so far there is no bites and dents. I was also worried that it would not hold up at all and they might fall but 3 full grown male rats can fit inside of it and it was not fallen once.

Was easy to pop together and hang from cage. Dont think the little tabs will hold up long if you move it around a lot though. Be careful with them. My rats liked it at first but, they have went back to their homemade hammocks and pretty much ignore it now. Lot of other peoples rats love these things so would still reccomend.

This is hands down the most durable and good quality version of all of the hanging two piece hide pod what ever you want to call it things. Easily lasts 2-3 months longer than the other brands, especially if you have chinchillas like I do that are rough on their cage accessories

A bit tricky to install with same cages. The hooks didnt fit on my cages wires so I had to rig it with clips. Otherwise its a fantastic little home for my girls. Theyve nested it with bedding and the ripped up fabric I give them and they sleep in there all day.

My rats love their space pod and it’s the perfect size for them to both be in there snuggled up together. It was so quick and easy to hang in their cage and because it’s so easily to assemble and disassembled it’s very easy to clean.

This is a perfect, sturdy, versatile hidey hole for rats. It can hang from the top or sit on the bottom. Its smooth plastic material is ready to clean and comes apart into separate pieces. Theyre even disinterested in chewing on it. Our Mama rat insisted on raising her babies inside it even. Nice and cozy and secure. Its easily their favorite place to snuggle. It comfortably accommodates three adult females, but I have also seen all 11 rats squished into it at one point while the babies were growing.

I have three rat babies (full grown) and they love it. They alternate between that and their shredded up hammock. But mostly stay in there. And so far with the winter they just bring pieces of hammock into the pod and cozy up in it. Haha probably the most utilized thing in the cage

My rattie boys love this little pod. I tried hanging it up first to see if they would explore it, but they didnt seem to care about it. Then I put it on the shelf in their cage and put a little bedding in it. Still no cookie. I was starting to think Id wasted my money on this thing until I took all the bedding out of it. They really love it now! I guess the bedding made it too crowded. They like to lounge on top of each other and snuggle inside. Freaking awesome buy.

I bought this for my chinchilla hoping that it would work for her, and it does! Gidget has been very picky about cage accessories in the past; she refused to enter those woven grass roll-a-nest things and has never once even tried her exercise wheel. So, I was worried she wouldnt be interested, and initially she didnt seem too keen. However, I encouraged her to explore it with some well-placed raisins, and within a few hours she had claimed it for her own! I threw in some scraps of polar fleece and she really seems to enjoy the extra softness. Gidget is hanging out in the space pod as I type this and seems very content. It is just barely big enough for her to get inside and snuggle up (she is fully grown). The only concern I have is that it is made out of plastic and could be easily chewed apart and destroyed. Gidget has done a few test nibbles on it, but hasnt tried to seriously eat or chew it apart yet. Well see how it holds up in the long run, but right now I couldnt be happier with this product. I hung it from the top of the cage like the picture shows, and it went on easily and securely. I only have a small cage (Super Pet My First Home) so its important to use the space well. Being able to hang the pod from the ceiling really added to the amount of usable space in the cage. It doesnt take up huge amounts of space or lose its shape like those hammocks or tents Ive tried, either. If you are looking for a cool bed for your chinchilla, this one is tops!
