Lixit Critter Space Pod, Perfect for Small Animals (Small)

My rats like this but is smaller than I wanted, which is somewhat my own fault! I wish it were a little thicker and am worried that my rats will chew it badly. Well see.

Whenever I walk to the cage, at least one of my rats is always in it. By far their favorite item in the cage. Its easy to clean and can be used as both one item or two

I bought this space pod about 2 years ago and my rats still love it. My rats are now 3 years old and are starting to show old age so I moved them into a horizontal cage with no levels. They were quite distressed by the move, chittering and trying to get it. I couldnt figure out how to comfort them. On a whim I transferred this space pod out of their old cage into their new and they immediately climbed in and napped. Im watching them groom themselves right this minute in it. Its super easy to clean (either wipe down with cloth or take it out of cage and rinse) and it is very easy to set up (either hanging upside down from top of cage or let it stand on own legs). The only thing I would mention is that it definitely would not fit 3 large adult rats, my ratsies are on the larger side (each over 500 grams) and when they squeeze in together there are paws and tails sticking out! They nonetheless make it work.

I bought the large space pod for two juvenile pet rats and they LOVE it! Theyre asleep inside of it most of the day and whenever I take it out to clean it they go crazy. Unfortunately this product is somewhat difficult to adjust on a wire cage. You will need to bend it in a certain way for it the roof on it to fit. I have also tried to make it stand upright (large piece set on the floor) and the bottom cup simply falls out. Otherwise the rats approve. I may need to buy another one for them once theyre both full grown.

I just got this a few days ago for my hedgehog. I really like it because the triangle legs fit well for corner placement. Its a bit of a tight fit for her, but she seems to prefer it that way. Really easy to clean, which is a plus. I havent tried hanging it from the top of the cage, but from the ground it is great. Not sure about IRS durability since I just got it, but its the best housing Ive gotten for her so I wont mind replacing if need be.

Id heard from other people that their rats love these critter pods so I decided to buy a couple for the rats and the degus that Im currently fostering for a local pocket pet rescue. They were right! The rats and the degus love them! The pods are also easy to hang from the ceiling of the cages and easy to clean so I love them too. I add some fleece strips inside them for some cushion and the rats snuggle right in while the degus like to remove the fleece and zip in and out of the pods while they climb around the cage. These are a great addition to my cages and Im glad I bought them. I would highly recommend them.

Easy to install. Easy to remove for cleaning. Perfect size! My three rat babies love it!

Stop thinking about buying this for your rats and just buy it already. I dont think there is a rat alive (or possibly dead if they have these in rattie heaven) who wont love this. You can hang it in the top. It stays nice and secure despite how much my three fattie boys run in and out of it. You can flip it over and let it sit upright. Heck, buy two of them and put one on top and the other on the bottom. Easy to clean, easy to assemble and disassemble, durable,great price and blue and purple happen to be my two favorite colors. I just put fleece in the bottom of this to help keep my boys warm since it is pretty chilly in my apartment and somehow still all three of them are crammed in there. My girls are so picky when it comes to hammocks. They will not sleep in any other hammock but their original favorite. But this one was a hit practically right away! They are so sweet all sleeping together! My girls really love to to be covered when they rest so this is just perfect for them.

I bought this by recommendation of my sister. My rats love snuggling inside with a few tissues or soft bedding. It is easy to clean (which helps - rats are messy) and an inexpensive bed. So far they have not had interest in chewing it up, which is what I have struggled with in the past. If I can rearrange the cage to fit another one, I will be making a second purchase soon. I have mine suspended from the top of the cage (it can go either way). Great investment to keep the critters happy!
