Madeline

I am so glad to get this book. I am building a library of classics and this one was a must. Good solid reading practice with an interesting story line.

I loved this book as a child and am thrilled that my toddler now loves it as well! Its such a sweet story with adorable illustrations.

Perfect, just what I was looking for. I do not usually write reviews, but I wanted to provide some context for anyone who may be interested in purchasing it. The listing does not provide photos, so please feel free to see the pictures I provided of what the item looks like. I was not sure what I would be receiving so I hope this helps. I read some mixed reviews that some were not expecting a ‘board book’ so please take note that this is a thick cardboard like book for younger children (babies, toddlers, first time readers). Because it is a board book it will not have the entire story like the regular version, it has only a few words per page and a large illustration. Perfect for introducing the story to young ones. ****EDIT**** So, I remember Madeline from when I was a child but I had not read any books since. I gave this as a gift and read it before gift wrapping it. I didn’t remember that Madeline had her appendix removed, but I just thought this page where are the little girls say, “Boohoo, we want our appendix out, too!” was a peculiar line for a child book. It’s also a bit strange that the story ends with this(well, there’s like one page after this I think). I still adore the Madeline stories but I wish I had picked out another Madeline story after reading that abrupt ending. I added a photo of that page for reference!

A dear friend just had a little girl and named her Madeline, so it gave me an excuse to gift her the Yottoy My Friend Madeline 10 Soft Doll and this Madeline board book - I didnt know they made a board book of this wonderful story. Im delighted to be able to share what was one of my daughters favorites with a new generation.
